  • This is how you learn about synths

After the first free lessons you realise how much you learn in just those few lessons . Yes you need to pay for the whole course . It did take a Black Friday deal to tempt me . However even if I had the full price I would have still written this .
It’s invaluable if you want to master the synth . And you get a free soft synth in the bargain

  • Blown away

I thought I knew synthesis until I did the free tutorials. Was totally blown away with the content that I had to upgrade. It was an insta-buy! It may take a while to get through the course, but definitely well worth it!
  • Amazing informative app

Proud of these guys for putting in the time to make this. No doubt the electronic music community and in general the student at heart is better off for your work. Bravo!
  • I love it

Wonderful app that is as functional as the desktop version
  • Finally!

I have been searching for a hands-on and comprehensive approach to learning synth programming for a couple of years now. This is it! I wish I had found it sooner. Huge thanks to the creators!!
  • Absolutely the best!!!

There just is no equivalent to what Syntorial is and does, and that is, to give the user a thorough and comprehensive understanding of subtractive synthesis. This should be required for anyone wanting to make music with synthesizers.
  • Nothing like it

Well worth the money if your serious about learning the fundamentals of sound design.
  • Best way to learn a synth on your own

Short of getting an in-person instructor, this is the best way to learn to play the synth. It’s got a decent price tag to get all the lessons (~$120 one time as of writing this) but it’s way cheaper than the instructor I was chatting with ($50/hour) and infinitely more convenient.

I was able to go from knowing literally nothing about how synthesizers work to being moderately proficient in about a week. And I was only about 10% of the way in.

Be advised, this teaches subtractive synthesis. This will apply to most synthesizers out there, but won’t if you are trying to play an FM synthesizer or something like that.

    Anyway, highly recommend.

  • Great app, great instructor

I’ve done a few of these, and this one is the best for ear training in sound design.
  • It’s one thing to read but another to try

Great app, put the time in and you will be rewarded. Either obsess for perfect scores each time or skip through faster and come back later if want to. Love the dev support too.
