Very well done
There are lots of free puzzles and many more available for purchase - enough to keep you entertained for quite some time. The mini puzzles are great when you only have one or two minutes. I recommend studying maps of Florida and the Middle East and learning a little Spanish before getting started. The ads, though repetitive and frequent (and oddly targeted mostly toward young girls) give you the option to close in 5 seconds, so they're not so bad. I'd pay to remove them if the cost were lower.Show lessItsCosmo

Update: still like this app but they recently made a few changes. When you enter an incorrect letter it highlights every empty cell in the word. I don’t know how that’s supposed to help. Makes it hard to see which cell I’m in, and just visually annoying, and I can’t get rid of the feature in settings. Takes away from the pleasure of the game.
Love this Redstone app. Just great crossword puzzles and no junk. A few short ads of course but none of the long ridiculous ones like so many apps have now. No glitches either that I know of.Show lessMickismom
Did they hand it off to a new dev team?
This had been a great 5 star app for years but in the recent release they’ve started screwing up the UI. Hope they’ll quickly undo the messes they’ve created - error marking most of all.
PS: Just read a few developer responses to people who had a similar complaints about the error marking being screwed up recently - no, the strikethrough mode does not solve the issue, its the issue at it worst and most unreadable of the options! And if you are going to allow multiple error marking options why not include as an option the classic method that had worked well in the app for years???Show lessjsturtle

I absolutely love this app, it’s so addicting. I’ve tried other crossword puzzle apps, but this one is by far the best! You can choose from different difficulty levels and you can choose from settings on each puzzle for instance, you can turn on/off hints, lock in correct answers, show errors and many more! Yes, there are advertisements, but they are minimal and only 5 seconds long. Honestly couldn’t have asked for a better program. There’s even a dark mode! If you’re looking for a semi-educational app which will definitely rid you of your boredom. Another awesome touch is that you can see how long it took you to complete the puzzles. Sorry, but I will no longer play because my eyesight is failing to the point of not being able to recognise the very thin and coloured letters. Bye nowConvoydave

Hi, thanks for your feedback. We'll take it into account for the next update. Please use the left/right keys next to the ’Show Errors’ option to switch between your preferred choice (Off, On, On+strikethrough) in the Gameplay Options menu. The Gameplay Options menu is accessible via the ‘Menu’ button (bottom-left button next to the keyboard). The option with the strikethrough should be the ideal one for you.Worth upgrading from free
This is probably the last and only crossword app I’ll ever need. I paid the modest amount to upgrade (I forget what it was, but it was less than buying a single book of crosswords) and was overwhelmed by the number of puzzles... and they keep adding more! It’s fun to figure out some of the regular patterns and favorite go-to words of the authors. Each author has their own fun way of coming up with new clever clues for the same words in different puzzles. Ross Trudeau’s “Playing on a loop” was the most unique puzzle I’ve found so far.Show lessDavidG8

Challenging at Times
Really enjoyable puzzles. Because different authors are submitting puzzles, it is a challenge to get into the mindset of the different authors. Some crossword authors are more literal; others are metaphorical; some use wry humor. This adds a level of challenge that I appreciate.
I am curious as to whether there are available statistics on average time to solve puzzles of varying difficulty ratings. I play only the puzzles that are listed as very hard. Some I solve in less than 15 minutes; others in 30 minutes. In my wish list, I’d like an average time of other players by puzzle for comparison.
