No longer can login

Entering user id and password results in empty screen with spinning wheel. Guest mode still works, but then every entry is from scratch. Since no update in a year, app seems to have been abandoned by DC. Seems a shame as this app has right idea poorly executed. But every app can be improved with a little attention.

Just use the web page

This is potentially a useful idea but it’s just incompetently implemented. The login system is unreliable (erroneously claiming my password is wrong when it’s the same one filled in by iCloud Keychain) and it often hangs after logging in, never recovering within 5-10 minutes.

What junk

After reading the bad reviews, I decided to go ahead and give it a try anyway. Surely it will be faster than calling 311. wrong. I entered all of the information for my book trash collection request. Got to the point of putting my contact information in, and the app seemed to just freeze. It would not accept my contact information apparently. It would be better for DC to simply get rid of this app altogether so people don’t waste their time with it.

Really slow to use

App is mainly a wrapper for website that has backend problems. But on front end app now asks to login almost each time - and takes a while to verify password.

On putting in requests it often asks for extraneous data and also prevent selection of locations without a specific address - if there’s no building there’s no address!

Needs work

This app is an important tool for residents to access city services, but it is clunky. It freezes up whenever I log into my account. This does not keep me from submitting requests, but they take much longer and it is harder to check the status because they are not tied to my account.

Can’t even log in anymore

Despite deleting and reinstalling, this issue has persisted for months (at least).

Never mind all the other design/process issues with the app (many the same with the full web site experience - it’s all built on a Salesforce template with no meaningful maintenance or refinement).

But as it stands, Apple should force this out of the App Store. It’s defective from the get go now.

Could be good, if they cared

The concept is good but the implementation is poor. Logins were broken about a month ago and are still down.

Many categories of request aren’t in the system (anything related to DGS such as parks and playgrounds) or require you to know how DC government works internally (for example, if a tree is down on a road or sidewalk, you put it in under tree inspection even though the description doesn’t sound appropriate).

This is a terrible app

Great premise but entirely botched execution. Service requests often ask for the same information more than once, including contact info already included on the users profile. App constantly logs me out (despite checking "keep me logged in" and requires that I log back and reset app permissions.

Inconsistent and problems

Depending on the service you have to enter more or less info. Some is crazy like illegal parking - it asks for your phone number and then confirms your phone number and contact info on the next page. Why?

Meanwhile it requires logging in each time you open the app.

Can’t submit a request - screen doesn’t advance

In trying to submit any sort of request such as bulk trash collection – you get as far as selecting your location, but then can’t proceed because there’s no way to advance the screen. You’re simply stuck on “location” but can’t advance to “details.” What a waste! Totally pointless app.
