I’ve been using this app for two weeks after trying out 3 other apps and found this app to be the most accurate and easy to use! I even compared the app’s calculations to the trip odometer in my car and they were exactly the same. You don’t even have to open the app it just automatic tracks your trip, which you can categorize into work or personal with one tap at the end of the day. The app even sends a push notification once it’s trip is complete as a reminder to categorize it, if you like to stay organized throughout the day. You are able to review all of your mileage from day to day and even export all the data into an excel spreadsheet. Great app for taxes
So when I started driving for Uber I was thinking how do I track my mileage for taxes electronically instead of in a notebook!! I stumbled across this amazing app. 30 day free trial and I was hooked just for mileage tracking for reporting. But then I found out I could separate my mileage logs and use it for my normal day job also!!

Awesome for tax purposes
Great mileage, receipt, and general expense tracking for Lyft (and other platforms, but I just use Lyft)! The auto background tracking is actually amazing. I used other tracking apps but I always forget to open them before I begin driving or forget to close them when I’m done driving, but that’s not the case with SherpaShare! Potential to save money. Works as advertised.
The good: Application is easy to use and i was up and running in 10 minutes. Runs in background while I have my Uber and Lyft apps open. After each trip i can quickly assign it to the appropriate category. Finally, the expense and mileage tracker features are well organized and sent anytime it is requested to the user’s email.
The bad: The pricing is expensive in my opinion (about $60/yearly). Also, the app must run location services in the background, consuming a lot of battery even when you are not using the phone.
Overall conclusion: I will definitely be useig this app for as long as I am doing ridesharing and would also recommend it to persons who are self employed and often drive for work.

I recently started driving for grubhub part-time, and needed a way to track miles for tax purposes. The functionality of the app is great and very straightforward. I have spoken to an accountant and he said that the reports that can be generated will make quarterly and yearly taxes much easier to complete. SherpaShare was recommended to me by a fellow driver. It runs noiselessly in the background with simple, single notification reminders to nudge me to review and categorize my trips. I seem to respond to this “quiet” prompting more readily than with the other mileage tracking app I’d tried previously. I love how simple it is to categorize trips and how the map is shown so you can readily recall the trip if you don’t label it right away. I would like to be able to recall previously labeled trips in case I accidentally mislabel something. I’m sure that’s a feature but I haven’t intuitively found it yet. Great app overall. Great for Uber Eats Drivers
It’s a great for Uber’s Eats drivers to keep track of your cost associated with the delivery business. You will save money in taxes because of the accuracy of this app to record your time and miles without doing anything during you working time. Then when you get home just go to there website and categorize your deliveries and your personal things even you can take pictures of your expenses and add them. Why didn’t I find this app sooner?!
I’ve been an Uber driver for over a year and half and it was only recently that I discovered SherpaShare for my mileage tracking needs. This app has seriously taken all the guessing out of my driving and makes converting all the info for taxes ridiculously easy. EASY, NEAT & ORGANIZED
