Tried 3 Apps This Wins
Compared Stride, Hurdlr, and Sherpashare. When my phone crashed Strides tracking was lost. Hurdlr works well but is not as easy to use as Sherpashare. Also I found I end up saving more money when using Sherpashare compared to the other 3. The big thing for me was finding an app that would still finish tracking my trips, even if my phone froze or reset. Sherpa seems to do the trick. Highly recommendShow lessPat Parra
Best for ride sharing so far, but needs some polish
SherpaShare does indeed do the work for you at a reasonable cost. If the company remains committed with enhancements and updates, it will own this market.
Taking all automatic approach (even integrating with an Automatic adapter), the app lacks real time trip tagging and manual trip entry. Relying on a server and web portal for the above features removes some of the app’s elegance. I would find the ability to relate SherpaShare’s trips to individual trips useful in case of an audit; on the other hand, logging trips en masse does mean the cost of picking up a fare is tracked with appropriate mileage deduction.
SherpaShare also focuses on Uber drivers despite allowing tagging of virtually every rideshare service known. The app would be improved if it supported Lyft as thoroughly as it does Uber. Since navigation apps like Waze are integrated with Lyft and Uber’s Driver apps, there may be appropriate APIs to deeply enhance SherpaShare.
The premium features, although useful, also focus on Uber more than Lyft. Of exceptional note is the chat feature. If one wishes to enjoy political diatribes, rudeness and obscenity, jump right in! I, however, would encourage policing of user names, behavior and posting by a moderator.
Overall, unless something better comes out, I’ll be using SherpaShare.Show lessMortlach
Could be better
I already had a mileage tracker for business expenses, so I was interested only in the pro tools. The compass did fairly well guiding me to pings, but often the destination was in the middle of a subdivision. I’m sure they would not want me parked and waiting there. The heat map asked me every time I opened it which services. Seems like it could remember. The earnings evaluation only showed Uber data, so the calculation was always off. I may go month to month simply because it doesn’t cost much and makes a $6 difference in earnings, but I hope improvements are in the works.Show lessDon Corvi
Exactly what I’ve been looking for
This is an amazing app for a rideshare driver. It lists a ridiculous number of Transportation Network Companies, even niche services like Fasten. There’s zero setup, and I can categorize expenses by swiping left or right. It’s probably a 3-5 minute process nightly. It tracks everything with an insane amount of categorization or no categorization at all, and you can go back and edit trips. Worth the very modest subscription, but there’s a free period (no cc/iTunes auth) to take advantage of first. LOVE IT!Show lessTheNoteConnoisseur
It Does the work for you
I love the fact that sherpashare track shoe mileage whenever you're driving regardless of whether or not you remember to log into the app. I do wish it was easier to modify edit and view your trips right from the home screen as that is necessary. I've only been using it for about a week and a half but all in all so far so good. I'll come back and update this review after I use it a bit longer.Show lessTuna b.
Easy to use
I choose this app because it has the highest ratings. It’s been very easy to use. It’s a little annoying to get notifications after every trip but I’m sure there’s a way to turn them off. The app has caught and tracked every trip I’ve done and been very reliable. It doesn’t kill the battery and works fine. I wish there was a way to enter the actual odometer mileage at the beginning of the year to track it that way.Show lessMatt Pollock
Great potential
There are many features that are very helpful, from expense tracking to mileage tracking. The pro tools however have great potential. Start with the understanding that the info you get out is based on crowdsourcing, therefor, the more people actively using it in your area the better the “educated” information will be. Saying that, if few people in your area use this, then it can be a big mystery and the tools are almost useless. I however see the potential and will continue to support this app.Show lessMrsMacky
One Week In
I’ve been using the app for a week now, and I have no issues with it. It runs in the background and makes note of the trips that I make and asks me to categorize them. Does a great job with that.
I use it for tracking my miles driving Uber.

No customer service. No way to cancel
No customer service contact number. No one responds to email. BUYER BEWARE!
Cancellation is impossible.
I have been on the internet, logged into my account on my phone and on my computer. I have read forums. I have been on their Facebook page and I have emailed them numerous times and NO RESPONSE. I have requested cancellation multiple times. I have tried on multiple devices and there is no way to cancel my account. I finally cancelled my credit card. And they keep emailing me that my card was declined. Every time they email me, I email them back and ask them to cancel my account and they don't cancel it,they continue to harass me for payment. Ok sooooo documentation is NOT my thing but no worries anymore!!! This is truly my "assistant" who chases me around funding my keys and purse and my wallet etc.!!!! I leave and inevitably forget to turn on my "other" mileage app but never fear SHERPA is here!!! I forget to turn it off...never fear SHERPA is here to remind me to categorize my mileage!!!
