  • Love the expense tracker and heat map

Unlike other mile log apps I’ve used this one has an expense tracker and I LOVE that. I can keep everything important for work in one place. And the heat map would be better if more people used it, it’s like a demographic type thing, you need to use it for it to show on the map it doesn’t just know where people are but overall it’s great and helpful.

  • So easy to use!

I love how SherpaShare makes it so easy to automatically track my trips. I can’t wait to do my taxes to see how much I’ve saved this year. Even though I do drive for ride-sharing companies I also drive for my other jobs and can easily track every trip and what it is for. Not to mention all of the other expense tracking I can do in the app. Love it!

  • Life Saving App

I just started as an independent contractor and with it comes the chore of keeping up my mileage, work meals and other expenses. SherpShare makes it so easy, it tracks every trip you make, and prompt me you to declare whether it’s a business or personal expense. Their their expense tracker is easy and hassle free. The money I’m paying monthly is going to be chicken feed to what I will save on my taxes next year.

  • Almost

SherpaShare capability’s and content make it as close to an efficient and effective app as I’ve been able to find. One of the things I find it lacks is the ability to access instructional information after having read it once. For example- I read what the colors on the heat maps meant when it popped up the first time but have not been able to find that same info since then. Additionally, I thought I would be able to “choose” a plan according to your notifications but the only options are choosing payment frequency. There are a few features I would not use and a few that are unfortunately Uber exclusive so it would be nice to pay for only what you’ll utilize.

  • Not useful

I am not sure how exactly the hot spot works, but it told me my home address was a hot spot. I also noticed that some past addresses that I drove to in the past 24 hours were hot spots. These were residential addresses. This tends to make me believe that hot spots are randomly selected from past driving history.

Also noticed that heat map is not even close to being accurate. It was showing Lyft drivers that weren’t showing up in the Lyft rider app and not showing Uber drivers that were online in the Uber rider app.

I also find that it is quite annoying to have the app running in the background 24/7 where I have to constantly tell the app that I am not working and then have to go back and delete the trips. It could be better if it only came on when the Lyft/ Uber apps were turned on or let me be able to turn it on and off as I please.

Overall it is another mileage tracking app that makes false claims to get the driver dollar. Don’t waste your time on this app.

  • Works for Me

As a new driver to Lyft, Uber and Postmates, as well as a shuttle van driver for a property management company, I appreciate the growing number of apps being created to accommodate rideshare drivers. I’ve used another popular self-employment accounting app for my kettle corn concession biz, which can be adapted to my rideshare driving, but I appreciate that SherpaShare is designed specifically for rideshare drivers utilizing multiple platforms. The UI is friendly and intuitive. Modifications for my particular situation are easy to do. I would like to see more detailed information about each ride’s start and stop points (addresses, landmarks, etc.). If I don’t keep up with categorizing each ride it can be challenging to remember which one is which. I am evaluating other apps to use either with or independent of my kettle corn business and at this point SherpaShare is in the lead.

  • Great

This is really a cool app. Only doing the trial right now but even that is great. It literally asks me after every time I drive was it personal or business. Helps to remind to log drive hours, which is handy for people like me that forget. You can log the gas you put in plus take a pic of the receipt, log your oil changes and tube ups, log car washes, this app does it all for the most part. Definitely worth trying !!!!

  • Not up to par

Poor trip detection = lost mileage
Poor interface = frustrating user experience
Also, they will pay you for a positive review after the trial.... A 5 star review = free month
    No thanks!!
  • Set it and forget it

I gave up on a previous app and decided to give this a try. I enjoyed the ability to customize certain things, such as my gas rate and drive habits/behaviors. I also appreciated the ease of tracking and logging miles. The app sends prompt notifications following drives to categorize which is quick and easy. Another plus I found was the customer service. Even within the free trial I was reached out to daily by a member of their team seeing how they could further assist me based on my driving behaviors. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a comprehensive tool for logging and reporting information!

  • Track your miles

Great tools to help rideshare drivers! Helping me find locations that riders might likely be when I’m not in a familiar area. Also good tracking tool, tho I never signed up for full service so I didn’t get a report. If I could know it would effectively replace MileIQ, I would switch. I was able to sign on to MileIQ and make corrections and additions, not sure Sherpashare will allow this. Also found that my data and battery were being drained fast so I only did the free two weeks and stopped. Might still be worth it. I definitely recommend drivers track their miles! Heat map is good for hot spot recommendations.
