VDOT O2-Train and Maintain (by a coach and athlete)

This app is excellent. It’s facile interactivity between coach and athlete, from daily workouts to notes and comments, makes for well prepped/defined workout bouts and communications while tracking mileage and progress. It’s connectivity to Garmin watches provides a broad range of data to the athlete and coach that is a great assist. Would be terrific if the connectivity was expanded to other platforms athletes use, too (ie.-Polar).
Highly recommend the Jack Daniels developed training program and the Run SMART developed app.

Not working

This app just keeps opening and closing out on me. I have uninstalled and reinstalled , restarted my phone about 10 times.

Still not working ...

Incredible App & one of the best tech tools for running!!!

I love this app and how it connects to my Garmin watch with all the details of the workouts and runs I put into the app! I only wish that there was a copy/paste (or duplicate) option for my workouts though, since it is hard to key in a detailed interval workout with multiple steps. Please add this key feature to your next update and thank you so much VDOT Team!

Response from developer

There is a duplicate option. Please go to vdoto2.com and when you hover over the workout, a copy option will display! Hope this helps.

Invaluable training tool

VDOT has been an invaluable tool the past few months, offering continuity through the easy to access training schedule, training runs automatically downloaded from Garmin, and space for athlete and coach notes. The VDOT Calculator is an additional bonus for race planning/preparation.

VDOT Rising

This app is the center piece to my training. I know that if I just follow the training my Run SMART coaches prescribe in the app, my VDOT and fitness keep rising. It’s a no-brainer!

So easy to use and convenient

I have been printing my training plans in the past, changing manually and putting notes etc, but this app made me free from all that, and i can always check my planned work outs so easily when i forget. I run with my phone mostly so this kept me on point for my planned paces, laps, and the whole workout. The comments you get from coaches (during training plans) are very encouraging and motivating.

Best decision I made all year

This app and accompanying program has taken my running game to the next level. The hardest part for me is getting out the door and these coaches make it so easy. I was skeptical at first, but they’re great - knowledge, accessible, accommodating to a hectic work life balance and genuinely work with you to reach your goals or even just talk through how things are going.

I highly recommend this app to anyone looking for a push, will benefit from structured workouts and is open to leaning more about training routines 👍 🏃

Only thing keeping me Running

I’m a complete beginner who wanted to put some meat behind a New Years resolution, that was a half marathon. My coach and the VDOT app made it approachable, kept me motivated, helped me really see my progress, and completely changed my approach training and working out in general.

Game changer

a smart app worthy of your smartphone

I’ve been running for years on my own with little to no training plan in place and stagnating as a result. The ease and accessibility of the Vdot02 app and its experienced coaches take the guess work out of building a smart, sustainable, and strengthening program that I can stick to. In a world of one-size fits all training apps, it’s awesome to have a program that’s designed specifically for me and my goals and doesn’t break the bank! Plus, I can’t deny the results!
It’s super easy to use and syncs up with your favorites (I use it with Strava, no problem.)

Run, don’t walk, to an AppStore near you...oh and the app also made me better at puns ;)

Amazing app

I'm a huge fan of the vdot app. It's easy to use, keeps me on schedule with my training and I've dropped a lot of time in races since using it. The training schedules are tailored individually and focus on training efficiently not on churning out the most miles. Big thumbs up!
