  • Great game except…

I’ve noticed that in Spades, the A,K,Q appear in the same hand, at the same time far too often. Also, the randomness of the play when I’m low on a suit, playing against the bots, seems to not play that suit until near the end. This happens most of the hands to be random. I really like trickster. However, these idiosyncrasies will cause people to seek out other app. One that’s trustworthy.

Also, in Euchre, the opposing team also appear to be getting far more better cards. Again, too many times. I’m talking loaner hands every other hand at minimum.

    I tried resetting the app.

Lastly, it should be mandatory for 13 seconds to bid or whatever the current setting is plus 6-7 seconds to play. It appears some players are allowing the app to bid and play which takes a long while. Players, or the player who set up the game, should have the option to place a restriction as a penalty, and allow the bot to play for say 15 seconds for first offense 30 seconds second offense, for not playing the game themselves. After two offenses or whatever, the player gets a 3-5 minute (suggested) timeout. I’m including myself here because even I get distracted.

I’m being more harsh on the stars than it should have.

  • The game is absolute GARBAGE

It really deserves a minus rating. The algorithm is so ridiculous its pathetic. Its obvious that if you leave games early for whatever reason you get placed in a queue where you receive terrible hands without a face card for the foreseeable future. I’ve never seen so many 10 and under hands in any card game either real or computer simulated. The bots (computer) players are the most annoying part of the game and I cannot play with them on my team as I would imagine all non mentally challenged players feel. They will always play the highest card in their hand except when bidding and holding a K or Q. Thats when they’ll lead a small card so the J or 10 will get away. It defies all logic and even the worst player on the planet would see the folly of this type of play. Should you be fortunate enough to join a “human” player game its sometimes bearable until the algorithm determines its time for you to lose and lose you will. There are long stretches where the game prevents winning and there’s nothing you can do about it. I call those “trap” hands where 4 trump K high will not work. It’s guaranteed the A is out against you, but should you pass another suit will be in play! The entire game needs a major overhaul perhaps letting REAL world pitch players offer improvements and suggestion’s would be a first step.

  • Would recommend

Love the app. Used it a lot during lock down. My friends and I played a lot of 500 and we wanted to alter some rules because misere kept getting spammed, so I emailed the devs of this app and they allowed us to make custom rules.
  • Exactly what a cards app should be

This app is amazing. Not bombarded with ads, gameplay is fair and not skewed in any members favour and highly customisable. Recommended to all my card friends.
  • Fun to play - BUT…

We have been using this app to play cards for a few years now, and have really enjoyed it. COVID prevented us from playing in person, so we migrated our weekly Hearts game over to our Apple devices. The game play worked well, however the video feed is choppy and sometimes nonexistent. I also noticed some creative scoring when practicing Hearts (the game tacks on points without any particular reason). Sometimes one of our players will disappear from the video, or loose audio. If you don’t mind messing about trying to re-join a game in progress (or just starting over) you should enjoy playing. It’s hard to identify where the video issues stem from, but I think it might be time for an overhaul of the interface.

  • Love the app BUT…. The bots are terrible!

Someone will bid 1 clubs and I bid 1 hearts, then my PARTNER - who is a bot, will then over bid me and go 4 clubs. When I then see their hand - they have ONE CLUB!!!! This happens regularly and it extremely frustrating! PLEASE FIX THE BOts!!!
  • No complaints

A great app - and I’ve tried most of them. Yes, it is wearisome having a partner who may be playing a different system and conventions, but hey, here is an opportunity to broaden your horizons.
  • Bots are terrible players

We like the ability to play on line with each other with video and audio BUT. We hate playing with the bot. It makes stupid plays and ridiculous bids. When I practice with it I am completely amazed at the poor quality of play. If there was another option I would take it but so far there isn’t one that’s this easy to use and coin I ate with each other while you play. So if you are a serious player I do not recommend this app.

  • Great way to play cards

We play Trickster Cards often. Saves shuffling and scoring and remembering where we put the cards. Even when we have 4 players, we still use the App on our phones or tablets. We love targeting the ‘bot’ in Hearts when there are 3 of us. In 500, the bot is often our 4th player. It’s not perfect, but it is great fun.
