How hard is it really to QA your app?
So many app design and engineering studios that’s a saturated market, and still you can’t get this app working correctly. Today I cannot even get a ticket for a movie with the “uh oh” notification with my season pass. It’s really unacceptable. Pay should be a doozy to add onto the experience. And even the season pass animation once at the theatre has the wrong font loaded on the card that makes the entire experience and quality just sub par. It’s really not hard. Do better.

Very Bad
The app itself is just so-so. Things could be improved, but that’s beside the point that the whole ordering system is spectacularly bad. I have yet to have an order fully work. On every occasion I had to find staff after waiting 45m+ and not getting something. Please change back to in person ordering!

Can’t buy tickets
Just spins and spins in the app and you’re not able to add any payment method to check out.

The app doesn’t work. What happened? Is there a new one or some other app then I don’t know about.

Seriously, the theaters in Charlotte suck. Just moved to town from Wash DC and the moviegoing experience is not the same. If you build one we will come.
Pricing Lacks Transparency
Be careful when ordering food! I did not get the final bill until a good 40 minutes after the show ended. Thus the 20% gratuity was added without my OK. When I placed the order the message I received was that as soon as the movie was over, I would receive a final tab. Clearly that did not happen. “as soon as the movie was over” I won’t be ordering food at any of the Alamo theaters since I know they can’t be trusted and will add what they believe is an appropriate tip.

App Ordering EXTREMELY distracting
Alamo has completely lost its draw of minimizing distractions during the movie by forcing people to order food and bev on their app. I’d rather go to a Cinemark now where there is less phone distraction.

how is it that this app is supposed to be for movie lovers, but makes you sign in every single time you go to the movies. it’s such a pain, and so behind on the times.
Doesn’t work well for seniors
No option to buy tickets for seniors. If I wait to buy at box office good seats are gone. Or there’s a huge hassle of getting money back at the box office that leaves staff and people behind me on line irritable and rude. Can’t purchase with Apple Pay.
App is terrible
This app is unusable to book seats! Tried repeatedly to book 3 seats and after selecting the seats and tapping “next” kept getting a “something went wrong, try again later” error. Finally had to call the theatre directly to book my seats.

Valley Fair is not SF
This app won’t let me default to the theater in my neighborhood— it keeps trying to show me screenings in a theater 50 miles away! San Jose is not the same city as San Francisco, and you can’t expect those of us who live in SF to just take the bus 50 miles to some suburban theater 👎
Nonfunctional
Funny that they force you to use the app if you have a season pass, yet the app itself never works when purchasing additional tix. Whats the point of having waived fees as a benefit for season pass holder, if you can never buy additional tix for friends to begin with?

Well, the Alamo itself is awesome, forcing season passholders to only utilize the app and not making it actually work sucks hard!

Never works
No canceling tickets
Website says you have to cancel tickets through the app or in person. The app LITERALLY has nowhere to cancel tickets. Just call the theater and cancel directly.
