I read some of the other reviews, and I don’t know the issues those folks were having. I’m on an iPhone on the current iPhone operating system, and as of summer 2026 the thing works perfectly. I just added another one at another property and configured it today. It’s up and running with no issues.

This app and the device it goes with are awesome. The hardware device goes on your oil tank and monitors the level and can notify you on your phone when it’s getting low, let you track the oil usage day over day, week over week, etc.
Especially for oil tanks that aren’t often seen in person (stuffed in the back of a damp basement full of cobwebs, for example), this is super useful for knowing when you need to refill your tank.

Oil Tycoon
Have the original version which was replaced before for eating batteries. I have it plugged into a wall transformer now because I’m sick of replacing batteries and finally they made the app more user-friendly without having to login every five minutes with your Social Security number and date of birth, etc. App seems useable now.

Unit doesn’t work
The unit was installed by my oil company a months back. Never worked. Tried calling the company to come and take it and they keep trying to troubleshoot the same issues. Don’t get this product. Doesn’t work and customer support is terrible.

Good idea and very handy monitoring fuel level but it seems to log you out if you don't check it every day! It's only my fuel tank that's being monitored why must it make you re log in at the most inoperatune time! Not a fan! 😢
