Auto charged without notice.
I commented on an instagram post and was blocked. Allara will charge you for your visit without notifying you and will take your money without any notice. They will allow you to do your medical visits, saying your insurance was accepted, and then they will send you a bill and auto charge you in 3 days, even if you contact them to set up a payment plan. Be aware that once they have your credit card information they will use it without your consent. This is the second time I have been charged out of the blue and now have to file disputes against Allara health. Would not recommend using at all. Seek a private doctor instead.

Do not recommend
Completely disappointed in the services provided by Allara. No one on their support team can provide the proper answers or are consistently providing conflicting answers. It’s impossible to just contact my provider directly and it’s been over 2 months trying to get my prescription prescribed to me with Allara not providing any actual assistance. I really wanted to love Allara because of the ease of use and having a provider easily accessible but I do not recommend using Allara.

App doesn’t work
This is specifically about the app, but you’re unable to log in on the app making it unusable. It just circles back to complete profile over and over again despite having an active account.
Not worth it / waste of time and money
Didn’t get anywhere in my health process, didn’t learn anything new about my existing issues , no new insights on my test data ( I tested too soon which no one warned me about and I explicitly stated I didn’t want to do ) then I asked for a refund 2 days after I was charged and didn’t refund me . Wasted 3 months of the monthly fee at $150 just to be ill advised, annoyed and overcharged . Super disappointed with my experience, customer service was unreasonable regarding refund

Doctor notes open to error
I am just starting with this program and was happy to find the app. But, I cannot open the care notes in the app and had to delete it so I could open the notes on the website. I get a note about type ‘string’ is not a subtype o type ‘map<String, dynamic>’ in type cast. Hope this helps so I can use the app!

Unprofessional care and terrible support
I joined for hormone support and the experience was awful. The provider was unprofessional. My concerns were not properly addressed, and the only recommend recommendation was omega-3. support is also very hard to reach for cancellation. DO NOT MAKE A MEMBERSHIP!
Happy Patient
I have been a patient with Allara for almost 2 years. I came upon them searching for a telehealth endocrinologist and loved that they address so much more! I have an Endocrinologist, my OB/GYN, and a Nutritionist. I learned so much about my hormones, and how my body is changing. For a busy working mom, Allara is perfect for me!

Horrible App
There is always a glitch with this app. Trying to get help and communicate with your provider requires a bunch of steps instead of having an option to directly contact them. Very mediocre explanation about your results & next steps.
Not Transparent about billing
Unfortunately I had a bit so great experience. I really wanted to like Allara’s Dr’s & NP’s, however I was left frustrated and felt blown off once again. I’ve been dealing with hormonal symptoms for some time, my GP totally ignored my plea for help so I came to Allara thinking they’d be helpful since that’s what they claim they actually specialize in. Unfortunately I waited a month to see if my health insurance covered the visits, ALLAR ASSURED ME THEY DID. I did a huge lab work up, then the NP told me I needed to see one of their nutritionists as Allara is a whole body wellness plan. So I booked it, saw the nutritionist, which didn’t show me anything new or helpful- then Allara sends me a text saying I owe them for the visit because my insurance didn’t cover it! Hahahaaaa! You’re kidding me right! After I asked numerous times about coverage and waited a month for a response! Wow! No thank you! Just watch out and make sure your NP doesn’t reel you in under the guise that it’s all part of the same process. This was deceiving and unclear.

What a joke
I really thought this app and the services were going to be the answer for me. These people lure you in to get a few hundred bucks and then leave you for dead. Once I realized that, I canceled any future appointments I had to save the money. Then I got an email asking me for feedback. It went ignored for several days and then I got a response that was unhelpful and they closed the ticket so I couldn’t respond. They don’t care about people, they just want money.

App login busted & the amount of time it takes for an online platform to reply back is laughable
I’ve consistently had troubles with logging in app, and there are inconsistencies between the web version and the app. When it was time for my appointment I was not able to login to the app so I turned to login on the browser and it would not show me the appointment.
I have been trying to get help for 6+ months for my condition and I get no help. For a platform that is entirely online you would think that they would respond faster , but for some stupid reason the message you send to your provider is first sent to a concierge team who actually intercept and forward your
message to the provider. Why I can’t just directly message our provider is wild and does not make any sense.

Post Visit
I had a visit with a doctor who started the visit without introduction and “what do you need help with” and she was very off putting and basically told me I had nothing of concern and when I said I was interested in learning more about hormones or if anything was going on with a painful period, she was dismissive and rude. Then, I had no communication about it not being covered by insurance after the initial survey on the app said I was covered, then I was charged.

Waste of time and money
I’ve had a HORRIBLE experience with Allara. They take days and days to get back to you, I’ve wasted my money and time trying to get any kind of response back. I wouldn’t waste your money on this. The concept is there but I’m just so disappointed with the lack of communication from anyone at Allara. I just needed to get an ultrasound done, and getting ahold of anyone took over a week, so I couldn’t get it done in time. Just don’t waste your time and find somewhere else to get help. I’m so upset and out 150$ now with nothing so show for it. Thanks for nothing, just another predatory health program that feeds on woman.

Be Weary
they claim to save you money because you can use your insurance however that is not necessarily truth. You will pay a higher amount even with your insurance each time I book a session at $70 it will not be zero dollars as they claim also, it’s very hard to get in touch with the doctor unless you’re in the appointment and they are very slow to respond to you with any request. It took them over a week for them to respond to just adding in my test results that they asked me for. I am happy for the test and glad I can take it elsewhere

Follow up is not up to par
The visits and interactions I have with my provider are great. However, the follow up the patient concierge staff leaves some to be desired. I have had a couple of issues but the main one being I needed a pre-authorization for an RX. It took over two weeks to get it because it was never actually submitted and when I followed up with the Patient Concierge staff they just said they would keep me posted. I never heard back and finally got ahold of someone at the insurance company to find out it had been approved weeks later, which was after the pharmacy had already filled AND re-shelved my RX.

Best app ever
First NP that ever listened to me and my symptoms. Thank god for this app
Terrible customer service
No one responds to me in the app or calls me back when I leave a message.
Took My Money
My appointment was scheduled for 4:30p I was there waiting since 4:25p on 12/05/25 and over 10 minutes went by with no provider joining the appointment. I went in and out of the appointment in case it was me but never saw a provider. In the meantime while this was going on I reached via message to the Concierge stating I was in attendance but no provider showed up and I didn’t want to be charged for something that wasn’t my fault. That was on Friday. Today 12/8/25 I was charged $100 despite my messages and despite being present for my time slotted appointment. That is horrible customer service and I want my money returned to me because I wrongfully charged when I was there in attendance. Lastly, I was never messaged by the provider either. Not on Friday and not even today.

No access
The providers are great and helpful, however never accessible. If you have questions or need to speak with anyone at all, good luck. There’s no contact number and no response to messages for days/weeks.
Wish for more food recipes but overall fantastic providers and help!!
The reason for a possible .5 rating deduction is the recipes on the app itself are not good. They’re very limited and not something I’d like and I’m not even a picky eater.
Now that the ‘bad’ is out of the way — I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2019 via ultrasound and symptoms. I’ve been to two OBGYNS, both offices always made mention of me being obese but never bothered to get to the root cause.
Fast forward to 2025. I started GLP-1s but again, my PCP is very hands off, and i was still struggling to lose weight. So I was seeking additional support for women’s health regarding PCOS and GLP-1. My provider immediately had labs drawn for me and within a week I finally have my diagnosis of being insulin resistant which is why even with medication I struggle to lose weight.
Between my provider and my registered dietitian (not just nutritionist!) I have a care plan and feeling more optimistic than I have in 6 years.
