Missing a lot of administrative features I’d expect to find from router management software. Why can’t I view and manage devices that are known but not currently connected? Thankfully I’m still able to access a full admin console by logging into the router directly.
App is simply not workable without needing customer service to do it for you. No way to add profiles for a family. Have to upgrade to get any actual functionality. No real clear path to upgrade in the app. Poor execution on Allo’s part.
Has this app been abandoned? Has not worked in months. No device list available. I pay too much for internet to not have these basic services. 👎👎
As I understand it - this app is mostly just a white label wrapper around stuff their router provider Calix provides as “CommandIQ”. It should not be difficult to implement such that it provides a competent list of devices on the network. But it does not. Never mind the totally unreliable features for restricting content and setting time limits for kids. No substitute for having a router you actually have control over and access to - which Allo also lobotomizes. Unimpressive, I’ll be assessing different options after two years of frustration (it seems to have just gotten worse).

Every time I open the app it says “There was a delay, please try again.” I can’t do anything within the app. Everything I click on gives the same message.
Largely the pictures and the directions that I see online, don’t correspond with the app that I downloaded. I don’t see any way to block the websites in the app.
The new update is horrible I can’t see anything. Every time I try to look at anything it says delay and try again.
You can’t do anything with this app anymore. It used to be easy to use and had lots of options for screen times, devices, speed tests, etc. But now all it says is “Your network is Connected.” That’s literally it. If you click on any of the other tabs you get an error message. We’ve been patient, but we dont want an internet provider that doesn’t let you manage anything or make changes as needed.

Allo seems to be going down the same path all ISP’s do, innovate and abandon. They’re product performance, customer service, responsiveness, and apps were all top notch in 2023, not so much anymore.
Since the app was given a new look it is dead in the water. Can’t make any changes. Will start looking for a new provider if this is not fixed quickly.
Please fix your app
Since the last update I have no access to people, can’t add anyone and parental controls are non-existent. Can’t manage them from the router and the app no longer allows me to.
Used this as an easy way to pause my stepsons wifi now the app stopped working so I can’t unpause it.
We can’t assign any devices to a person because the app would not let us add any people. Also we can’t set-up a Guest Wi-Fi network because the option does not show. Whatever the guide on the video is, is not showing in the Allo IQ app. :(
Worst app I’ve ever had the experience of dealing with especially when it comes to an internet provider…parental controls shutting off internet to certain devices the entire app is a joke
This app worked great at first and since has only worked occasionally. I use it regularly so I really hope you get this fixed.
App is inconsistent and not something I would use to monitor kid internet use with.
I have been with Allo for over five years. I have generally liked the service. But the app is not great. It almost never displays all tech connected to the network. Either the devices just aren’t shown in the app, or if the number of items is above six, you cannot scroll down to see the rest. Even if it shows the tech, it may not display correctly whether the item is connected or not. It also loses the assigned names of the devices, causing an alert that a new, unknown device has suddenly connected to the network. All of this happens at random, per device, at any given moment. Load the app and see the smart tv and an iPhone. Reload it a moment later and it may lose the phone but show the Nintendo switch. Not a tool to rely on.

App was great for managing screen time for my kids. I lost the “People” tab and can no longer set schedules for internet use
The app has been spinning all day
