Great way to communicate with loved ones from a distance. Very strict, so make sure you’re dressed appropriately and the approved people are only being shown & heard.

It is amazing how far technology has come. It maybe a short visit but to be able to see his face and have a conversation it allows us to keep in touch more.

Edited 3/17/23: App says available to ICIW & Clarinda but be aware it’s good for ALL Iowa institutions. Developer just hasn’t updated their info. Also, now the Iowa DOC website has updated their download instructions which eliminated having to download the TestFlight App first. So if you haven’t used the App for a long time and you had originally had to download the TestFlight App, you might get a message the App expired next time you use it. If so just go to App Store & download directly from here. Only problem I have with the App is I don’t get a full picture when using my iPad. I tried using the little arrow icon on bottom right of the screen - it lets me make the picture smaller, but not bigger, so video of inmate on my end only uses about half the screen. But it’s better than not having the means to have a video visit at all. Thanks to Iowa DOC and the developer of this App for making this possible. It’s a fantastic way to visit for people like me who live far away & can’t visit in person.

Great talk with grandson!
Our call went great and it did not cot out like some of the reviews stated.
Nope
Constantly freezes or just won’t let you in. No customer service number to call, just an email. Not sure why they went to this service, but the prisons needs to use something else.

I feel that the visit has clear hearing and great sound. The only thing is when we are talking the call freezes up and then I don’t get to hear what he’s saying and it’s important to hear what he has to say. I’m really thankful for the free service that Ameelio Connect has to offer or I wouldn’t be able to visit with my good close friend. Happy New Year .
