Doesn’t work
Thinks I’m not in the quarter so it won’t work. Stupid, yet predictable failure from law enforcement.
Location Issues
I can’t use this app to report a crime because it shows “this page cannot load google maps”. So I cannot move forward to use the app at all. I’ve turned my phone off and on, I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app. Nothing works at this point which is frustrating if this were a time important issue to resolve.

Registration
I am unable to register into the app. All last month, I had this app. I tried to register, and it doesn’t want to register. I hit the register button, and it doesn’t pull me up to another page.

Trying to register an account doesn’t work, clicking app support in the Apple App Store say the SDT website is down. Looks like NOLA picked another stellar broken system.
UPDATE it doesn’t seem to work with geolocation. That appears to be why I can’t register. I live in NOLA and the app tells me not supported in my area. Geolocation is on. Sigh

Message Alert issue
Yes my only concern is the message alerts are no longer visible once you click on them. Please improve the app so that concern citizens can view the message fully as it occurs.

Excellent response
I am a business owner in the quarter and have had to use the app on several occasions to report incidents. The response by the sdt task force regarding each incident was fast and effective.
I highly recommend this app for businesses, residents and anyone who frequents the French quarter.

Dangerous and criminal
Citizen reporting of crimes is consistently based on misreading and misunderstanding of a situation and plagued with conscious and unconscious bias regarding physical appearance and faulty perception. This app complicates policing and encourages criminalizing and profiling people for “suspicious” activity, which can be as vague and subjective as “looking out of place”. There have been many cases where apps like this have been used to report people simply going about their business, with their only “crime” being their religion or skin color.

Needs Work...
I love that the app moved across the Lake, HOWEVER, we have had an issue seeing alerts on iPhones. You see the alert on the home screen but when you swipe to read it, it just goes to the report section of the app.
Messages
Looks good so far. Only problem I see was today when I got an alert about the storm, then another alert about The Sherif’s department looking for someone, you can’t read the entire message on the screen and when you click on the message it just opens the app and the alert message is gone.
Not working
I just downloaded the app. I get asked 2 questions and then it started to freak out. Jumping from two different screens. I restarted the phone then deleted the app and reinstalled it. Now I have a wight screen. This is on my iPhone 6. It is up to date. I would like to be able to give you a chance.
This app is useless
I don't understand the purpose of this app. It would be better to call 911. Having off duty police investigate would only encourage bad behavior by the officers as they will just wait to be paid by the app. Also, why can't you see the crimes that were reported. There are much better apps out there for crime crowd sourcing.

Only as good as NOPD response
This App was an excellent idea and works very well. However, it's only as good as NOPD response time which is alarming(No Pun Intended).
I uploaded a pics of two men and one woman who prey on tourists daily on The Moonwalk with "The Shoe Shine Scam"(I bet I know where you got your shoes..., I'm a deaf female raising money for a field trip). When you don't pay up they surround their victim.
After uploading and successfully reporting, I received a call 3.5 hours later "Sir do YOU still need the police?".
My reply: I(myself) NEVER needed the police. It's the poor tourists who are intimidated by these same hustlers into giving up "$10 for my rhyme AND $10 for my time!".
Operator: Ok, so YOU don't need the police.
My Reply: I uploaded strong evidence. Those hustlers and con artists are out there DAILY.
Operator: But sir YOU don't need the police?!

Cannot open
I down loaded this app and cannot find a way to register user name and password! I have gotten alerts, but there is no way
to access the report.

App needs more but it's a good start
It's hard to write a honest review without reporting a actual crime, but one issue I see is that push notifications only tell users that a crime has been reported which seems pretty useless. Maybe take that out or give a basic area and type of crime so people in the area can be on the lookout.
