Aqara has always been extremely reliable for me. Phenomenal that it integrates with HomeKit so nicely.
Software ok. Hardware is not
I have the u200 door lock, I am a recluse and hardly go out. Yet the gears broke in 4 months, sent a warranty claim. Been weeks got a response I will revive a replacement in 5-8 weeks.
July 7 2026, Lock had been replaced free of charge, the new one did the same thing, I can shake the lock and hear the gear pieces rattle. Time to get a different brand

No dark mode
This app is unbelievably difficult for my aged eyes to use. How about a little contrast instead of light grey on white? Maybe even a dark mode? Or at least an option for larger fonts? I really love aqara home devices but this app is an assault on the elderly.

The U400 Smart Lock is my very first Aqara product. So, it is also my very first time using the Aqara Home app. It is horrible!
I added several users when I first got it a couple of days ago. I went back to add thumbprints and it had forgotten the names of everyone that I had entered! All it had was User 1, User 2, User 3, and User 4. Since I could not see anyone’s code, but I’d previously entered, my only recourse was to delete everyone and start over again. Absolutely unacceptable!😠

My hub and light switch no longer connect to the network.
One star as my hub and light switch are essentially useless as smart devices. I’ll change the rating as soon as they fix this.
Buggiest App I’ve ever used!
This app is quite literally the worst app I have ever used. I get 502 failed Gateway requests almost every time I click something. Quite unbelievable. I give it negative one stars if I could.

Trash product
This stopped working after a year. This is the SECOND TIME I get locked out of my house
Good products, but pairing can be an issue
All the products I buy are super useful but pairing can take a long time. I haven’t figured out any pattern to make it more reliable or easier. Sometimes I wonder if the batteries are old. But after a while of trying it eventually connects and then I can use the product as intended.
URGENT
My camera driveway 2 keeps going offline for no reason and it’s alarming as I had a home invasion without notice due to lag in response.Its always the black G100. I had an AirTag in my wallet he saw my wife leave for work(maint man)me and cats heard a noise 1 minute after she left. I got no notifications or recording. I asked to be a product tester hoping to earn locks cameras for outside a hub ,sensors for doors windows.I do it for PuffCO. Already but I can’t afford to replace this I’m healing after hit with shrapnel while volunteering in Ukraijni. 3 yrs I gave to come home haven’t bought a weapon now I’ll have to take the chance and 3D print one. As that’s what I do still do for the Legion. UAV body’s. They add tech. Please help. Please

Randomly decides to enable auto-lock, despite the app showing that feature is off.
Recent massive delay for notification
I have a door sensor and recently there have been huge delays for when the mobile notification is received. Sometimes 30-45 seconds. It used to be more instant around a month or two ago. Cannot recommend Aqara if you need timely alerts.
Doesn’t work - Way more complicated than it’s worth.
Got the smart lock. It was installed by a professional. Set up is so unnecessarily complicated. Set up failed because it said app says the lock isn’t installed correctly. It is. Deadbolt fits perfectly. Says contact customer service. The apps co-pilot crashed saying “the server is taking too long to respond - try again later”

After almost a year new update lost ALL configuration luckly they are bound to smartthings and was able to recieve wet alarm
