Ava has increased my credit score by 66 points total JUST on a month and change usage. Not sure why I didn’t get on sooner. The annual plan is affordable, and so are the monthly in order to get up and raise your score higher.

Misleading
Extremely Misleading – I Regret Paying $60
I am extremely disappointed with Ava and honestly feel like I was swindled into paying for the $60 annual membership.
I originally paid the $10 monthly fee. After connecting my bank account, I was told I didn’t have enough qualifying accounts or activity and was prompted to upgrade to the annual membership for a higher credit limit. I paid the $60 annual fee with what little money I had available because I was under the impression that I would actually be able to USE the credit card.
What they do not make clear upfront is that your “credit limit” and the amount you can actually spend are two completely different things. In my case, I can only spend up to $35, and the card cannot be used like a normal credit card. It is restricted to certain approved merchants, primarily subscriptions. You have to “unlock” spending, and there are limitations that I absolutely did not understand before paying.
Had Ava clearly stated before taking my $60 that I would only have $35 available to actually spend and that the card could only be used with a limited list of approved merchants/subscriptions, I NEVER would have purchased the annual membership.
Advertising a higher credit limit while not making the extremely limited actual spending ability equally clear feels incredibly misleading. A $1,000, $1,500, or $2,500 reported credit limit means something very different when the customer can only actually spend $35 at select merchants.
I understand that this is a credit-building product, not a traditional credit card. That is not my complaint. My complaint is that these restrictions should be presented clearly BEFORE someone pays $60, not discovered afterward.
I regret spending my money on this. Ava needs to be much more transparent during signup about the actual spend limit, merchant restrictions, and exactly what customers are getting before asking them to pay for an annual membership.

Not worth the money
I feel like this app really wasted my money. I paid $96 for the trade line didn’t receive the trade line and you can never get in contact with anyone with any issues I don’t see any reflection of the trade line On my credit from using this app.. kickoff is a lot better.

Don’t not get
I got this app and paid the $97 or whatever for the year. All I’m able to use if $50 for a merchant. I was approved for $1,300 and I cannot use the rest. They advertise about how much you’re approved for but can’t spend the money this is a total scam. Also I despise the fact they do not have a 1-800 number so you can speak with a live person. I despise the fact that everything is done by email only. Furthermore no website or place you can try to use the money. This is a total ripoff.
Update I spoke with someone today. This is the worst card anyone can get. This is a bait and switch false advertisement. If none of you don’t believe then you all are going to have to find out for yourselves. I will be filing a complaint against this company with the BBB.
