BAHA Smart App is a Dumb A__
App freezes. Has to be deleted & reinstalled and won’t let you make your own favorites. In the process of making your own favorite is blown everything away and goes back to the Everyday setting. This app is so DAMN frustrating and needs to be addressed and made useable by the owner. Please fix A.S.A.P …. 5 thumps DOWN in its current state with ZERO Stars!!!!!!!

Disconnects from programs
The app won’t stay on the options for example outdoor reduce wind noise. Disconnects after about 5 minutes. Also app won’t connect to my Baha 7. I have to delete app and download it again and login very frustrating and annoying. Very poor app and makes me sorry I chose a Baha unfortunately I have no other option but to keep deleting app and reinstalling login and all that.

Keeps Disconnecting
Will not stay connected. Different sound settings just disappear like tv streamer. The app was always a little glitchy, but it is significantly worse now. I have a IPhone 17 promax, but it was also doing it on my previous iPhone.
App and lack of support disappointing
I have had a BAHA since BAHA 3 in 2009. I now have BAHA 6. I only need it on my LEFT side. I also need, however, a traditional hearing aid on my RIGHT side. I am unable to have both devices paired to a single IOS device. The app and IOS asks on which side a device is being used. Ideally, I would love to be able to use my BAHA 6 in my LEFT side and my hearing aid on my RIGHT side.
Years ago, I remember seeing that Cochlear offered a CI version for use in one side and a Resound hearing aid on the other ear. If IOS supported pairing with both, simultaneously, I don’t understand why IOS can’t do this.
My BOSE headphones support LiveListen and I get a better sound from those than using BAHA.
Right now, the only solution I have managed is to have my IPhone paired to my hearing aid and my IPad paired to my BAHA. Neither solution is ideal because I want to get the stereo experience from improved sound in both ears.
Also, I wish I could do a quick link to turn off the speaker easily and quickly. If I leave the speaker on, I get horrific feedback if my head rests on a pillow, etc. I don’t have that issue with the hearing aids.
I also wish the app had better Apple Watch support. There are a number of hearing aid manufacturers who have developed state of the art IOS support and given Cochlear’s expense, i don’t understand why they can’t devote more resources into improving the IOS apps.

Lost hearing
Pinged my hearing aid off in my stock room. Tried to use the app but it has disconnected. Do you know how many boxes I now have to go through to find it!
App needs fixed and tended to!! UNUSABLE
I have only been able to use the app with limited functionality because I cannot login to my account to use full controls nor has it let me for a whole YEAR. I need answers and I need a solution. I’m missing out on feature I USE.
Not Fit For Purpose
I used to be able to connect directly to my BAHA and control it, then Cochlear decided that they would force people to log in to their headquarters first. They have obviously had a security breach and are now forcing people to reset passwords, but that doesn’t work so I can no longer access my own device. The old app just worked and remembered settings. The nee app (if you can even get past the needless login) changes the settings every time. The functionality of the app has changed for the worse because they are focused on harvesting data instead of the user experience. Smart App
This is an amended review again - I have been using the smart app now for a few years now and despite a rather basic layout and clunky interface it has by and large been a great app and the only way I can have greater control over my aids. Unfortunately since the latest update (May 2026) what used to be the odd unexpected restart of the app where my custom settings would disappear, has sadly become the norm. Within minutes of adjusting the frequency settings, the app just ‘starts over’ and everything is lost! Even if I keep the frequency adjustment window open, something happens and my aids go back to default settings! The app has been great and I use it everyday to get the best from my Baha 6s. However, now the app has been updated, the functionality has gone backwards. It would be good if there was better customer support for this app as I still think the app could be great and very helpful in getting the most out of my aids!

Hola, la aplicación le ha cambiado la vida a mi padre, consiguiendo una calidad de vida que pensaba que ya no tendría. Usa el audífono Baha 5 power y para ver la tele sin que el resto de la familia nos volvamos locos por el volumen, se compro el transmisor de audio cochclear SAS-3. Todo perfecto hasta que actualizó su iPhone 11 a la versión 26.3.1(a), se desconecta el SAS-3 y no hay forma de enlazar( ni quitando el bluetooth, ni reiniciando el transmisor), la única solución es borrar la app y volverla a descargar, ocurre varias veces a la semana e incluso hay días que 2-3 veces ha ocurrido. Worst App Ever
This has to be the worst app I’ve ever used. Plus it’s necessary for convenient control of the hearing aid. It’s so bad it’s bordering on false advertising. If you get it to connect to your hearing aid, never ever disconnect it. It takes so much effort to pair it that it’s unacceptable. You can try a new battery, uninstall/reinstall app, connect/reconnect, power on/off, pair/repair. Nothing works and it will just all of a sudden work. My Widex has zero issues. Oh, and BAHA support is not helpful.
I received a response from BAHA support. As I stated in my review, they are of no help! I get better support from my Audiologist than I do from BAHA.

Struggling to use with iPhone
Quite a basic app but it should do what’s needed. It worked much better on my Android but now struggles with the iPhone that I’ve switched too, not sure why.

Still waiting for the Cochlear baha 7 at the freeman hospital Newcastle upon Tyne UK wish you would discounted support for the baha 6 max the freeman hospital have said that the are NOT going to get the baha 7 in anytime soon so frustrating
Major connection issues
The app no longer connects to my BAHA 6 device and it’s aggravating. It Bluetooth connects right to my iPhone but the app won’t detect it no matter how many times I reset!

Needs improvement
With today’s technology one would expect a much more reliable Smart App. BAHA App needs to do better-very frustrating! Very unreliable app. The app often will not sync with BAHA processors even after changing batteries!!! Frequently ask for fresh batteries. Pretty much useless App. Do better Cochlear!
