Old needs updating
The app is now terribly old it needs a refresh lots of glitches when pop ups happen in the app it doesn’t show you what the buttons say

Very old user interface. Looks like designed in 2010. Very slow app. Doesn’t get updated.
Why can’t we paste password?
As many have said for years, the app doesn’t allow pasting passwords. The app also seems to reset login after a few weeks or updates (even if you have set up faceID), forcing you to relive the login nightmare.

Useless Chat Bot
Bank of Melbourne closed down their branch near me some time back. Instead, the app seems to be their preferred engagement method, but the virtual assistant, Mel, understands very little, and worst, clears chat history. This means that after I receive a reply from a human, i'm notified, check, and find an empty chat. I'm constantly needing to rewrite my requests and requesting emails and/or phone calls.

Possibly the worst banking app on the market
Not user friendly, unable to navigate, constant glitches, interface is ugly. Can’t set up recurring payments without an end date. Notifications consistently don’t display correctly so important information is often omitted. I will leave the bank because the app is such a nightmare.
Frustrating
Made a savings account and it takes two whole days to transfer money out. I was okay with that but now its taking two whole days and then bouncing the money back into the same account. If I was in an emergency and needed my money I might be dead. When I get back to australia im dumping this stupid account and moving to another bank.

Worse banking app
I tried to apply for a credit card but kept getting a “technical error” screen. I tried for a whole week and ended up going into the branch. I then received an email from St George with the BOM reference number asking for copies of my passport or birth certificate. I ignored it thinking it was a scam. When I checked the status of the application, it said I needed to provide verification documents but didn’t state what I needed to provide. Ended up having to call up again. Overall terrible experience.

Unsatisfactory UI
Attempting to use the app or the BoM site to review/redeem Amplify rewards more often than not ends in a terminated session. Inexcusable in this day and age. Makes me regret cancelling an Amex card.
Utter rubbish!
If I could leave no stars I would. I’ve never had to delete and reinstall an app so much because it just stops allowing sign in.

Worst banking app I have ever used. Their contact us, redirects you to request call back or, takes you to the calling option and when you call you get a message “your call cant be connected “. Don’t have transparency over my account, my loan. Can’t see service request details. Just the worst!

Outdated app that makes banking a hassle
This app is clunky, unreliable, and frustrating to use. It constantly times out and locks me out, forcing me to make calls to the bank just to regain access, a huge waste of time. The search function is poor, and the nav makes it hard to find anything useful. If I didn’t have my home loan here, I’d be gone already, and I’m seriously considering refinancing just to escape this app. The bank needs to modernize before they lose more customers.

User hostile banking app
App keeps forgetting your login info so instead of being able to use your PIN you have to fill in your access number, security number AND password. Happens every couple of months. This isn’t security this is just downright inconvenient. Irony in this is the app sent an alert saying I should login periodically to check my balance for suspicious transactions. I would if it wasn’t so damn hard.

Absolute rubbish
Unable to log on at all so can’t pay bills. This is a regular occurrence with this app and unacceptable given there are very limited branches available.

Constantly freezing, so have to delete and reinstall-who tests this app? Is there any testing done at all? If so, what an absolute joke.
The app is ok… but
I’m using the Mac app for internet banking. It’s ok, it does what it should. I don’t love the UI, I find searching for transactions clunky and unintuitive.
The most annoying thing is logging in to the app every time. There is no ‘remember me’ or ‘trust this device’ option. So you need to enter in your client number every time. I’d expect to only have to enter a pin or at worst a password.
