I cannot believe the surges for Uber in downtown. Toronto very rarely use it try to shop local and once I found Beck taxi there will be no one else. I will trust to take my brother to safely get to his subway station at 5 o’clock in the morning in downtown Toronto. Many thanks Beck Taxi.

Beware of sketchy taxi operators
Wanted to stop using ubers in Toronto but this app reminds me of why I stopped using taxis, they would take the longer path to increase the fare.
I acknowledge this can be a bad actor on the specific drivers part but beware of fares being $5-7 more then estimated fare range for a $16-18 estimate

Better than Uber
Great service, ACTUALLY insured cars where passengers are also protected, great drivers who are polite, respectful, and non-creepy. I swear by registered taxi services. I strongly recommend

The GPS and time for pickup is totally inaccurate

It says one minute for 15 minutes easy…. Terrible navigation system… to contact the driver you have to call the company
Know when to use it
It’s a good app to book a taxi in advance and when you know that Uber/Lift will overcharge you for peak times. I am never able to pay with my credit card via the app, so I have no choice but to pay in the car
Booking time too slow
I love Beck Taxi and I will always choose it over UBER when I can, but you don't make it easy. It takes far too long to book a driver and there doesn't seem to be any priority for loyal, consistent users.
Arrival times are wildly in accurate
Overall I like using the app but the estimated times of arrival are wildly in accurate. It always tells me 1 or 2 minutes when it is in fact sometimes 10 or more.

I often have problems putting in a pickup location where I was dropped off. It defaults to something close, but doesn’t let me override it. Very frustrating!
Rates don’t match charge Scammy
The app does not allow you to pay in advance. I was charged over double from what my original rate was supposed to be. Reached out to customer service and was told they will look into it and have yet to hear back.

Superior to rideshare apps
Take the TTC. When the wait is too long or the trip too urgent, there’s no reason not to use this app. The drivers are professional and arrival times are accurate and fast. Keep your money in Toronto
Would be 5 Star if Add a Stop Actually Worked
I generally am extremely happy with this app but although the user interface provides a way to add a stop, it doesn’t appear to work. You can hit the + and key in an additional address but it then vanishes when you leave that screen

I really want to say how lovely Mulgeta was. He was so kind to pick up a laboratory specimen for an 85-year-old lady who is paralyzed and housebound and drove it to the hospital and walked it up and found the proper location on the second floor and ensured that the laboratory staff accepted the specimen. He was so kind and lovely on the phone. I tried to add a $20. On the app, but it would not allow me.

Had not used this app in years. It has gotten much better. It is dependable and does not have surge pricing.
