Why?

Free for a reason. Difficult to navigate even though it only does a couple things. Trying to change Beta to anything else is true not worth using the app

Paid for the app in June only to be served ads now.

At least provide a way to remove the ads for a small one-time fee. Deleted the app. Moved to a non ad version. Ads have tracking, I don’t want to be tracked.

Simulated binaural phenomena; not actual hemispheric entrainment.

This app simulates a pulsing beat that corresponds with the binaural frequency that the user selects.

True binaural beats are a brain-only phenomena, and are not audible outside one’s own auditory perception.

To test the app I played it in my car, and my car rattled at the set pulsed frequency. … This should not happen with true binaural beats… again, it’s a brain-only effect.

FAQ

What are binaural beats and how do they work?

Binaural beats are an auditory illusion created when two tones of slightly different frequencies are played into each ear. This difference in frequency is perceived by the brain as a third, distinct tone, which can influence brainwave activity. They are often used to promote states like sleep, focus, or meditation.

What types of brainwaves can this app generate?

The app can generate binaural beats associated with Alpha waves (restful, relaxed state), Beta waves (concentration, alertness), Delta waves (deep sleep), Gamma waves (alertness, sensitive perception), Mu waves (physical rest, stillness), and Theta waves (deep meditation, heavy relaxation).

What are the requirements for using this app?

For the best experience and to properly perceive binaural beats, high-quality headphones or stereo speakers are required. The app also allows you to specify playing audio to any AirPlay supported device.

How do I use the app to create binaural beats?

You can use the sliders to select your desired binaural beat frequency (1-50 Hz) and a base frequency (20-1500 Hz) that sounds pleasant. The binaural beat is then generated around this base frequency. Adjust the device volume to a comfortable level and use the Play/Pause button to control playback.

Is this app free to use?

The app is free to download and use. However, it does contain advertisements. Additional features or content may be available through in-app purchases.
