App might screw you over, it’s not the workers fault.
I placed an order for bbibbimbap and money was immediately taken out. I placed an early order for my food to be done at 8:30 pm EST. The first red flag was that the screen where it asks you to make an account for convenience completely glitched.
The second red flag was that even after creating an account there was no way to update the track your order / view your order section to include what you literally just paid for. The order number is completely useless.
I could not pick my order up at 8:30 and called to ask if they could just make it the same time tomorrow or refund it. I called early enough to ensure there was no way the food was already made. The employee told me she couldn’t cancel or do anything on her end. Again, the order number is completely useless. After almost 30 minutes on the phone a refund was still not available and the only thing they could do was make the food the same time tomorrow but earlier like I originally asked.

I don’t know what company supplies them with their chicken, but they should change. I will NEVER buy this Jurassic Park chicken again. Something is not right!
Disappointed
I went into the Katy Frwy location today and the waitress Ms Chloe was wonderful even though she was handling the front alone I was disappointed in the 3oz size cup of coleslaw for $2.99 I think that size is ridiculously priced for 3 oz
Frustrating Experience
I downloaded this app to place an order, but it won’t even load. I’ve tried multiple times on different Wi-Fi and cellular connections, and it just gets stuck on the loading screen. Super disappointing because I wanted to use it, but it’s completely unusable in its current state.
Terrible delivery policy
Ordered my food 30min before they closed as a delivery and never got my food or a refund don’t order delivery from this place if you want to get your food. Worst part is they don’t tell you they aren’t gonna get there and you can’t take up a claim with the app either you have to call them which also doesn’t work

Love the flavor and crispness of BonChon’s chicken. I used to go quite frequently at one point in time. However, My last visit turned me off because the chicken (minus the flavor options and the crispness) didn’t seem like “real” chicken. The joint of the bones were black and the meat practically fell off with the slightest breaking. I don’t know where those birds came from but I would suggest sticking with the original chicken that I would give 5 stars!
I plan to go back before making a decision to not visit again. 🤷🏽♀️

Issues with Totals and Tips
1) The total cost before tax on two items was calculated incorrectly. 2) App forces a 15% tip with absolutely no option anywhere to change it.
More details: 1) Incorrect total cost briefly fixed itself when something else was added and then removed from the basket, but the incorrect total was displayed again on the checkout. The difference was about 20 cents, but if this happens with every customer, it becomes a lot of extra money quickly which is pretty dishonest. Happened on the app and website.

2008 wants their app back
App is clunky as ever. 1) “New” app requires another setup 2) has a half baked Android web page feel 3) forces you to enter your CC info and is thus a security problem. 4) does not use Apple Pay 5) institutes an insulting 0.99 “convenience fee” for the experience adding injury to insult.
When Bonchon raised their already **overpriced** chicken prices (gougeflation) we generally stopped going there. It was a couple times a month reduced to 1 or 2 times a year and there is NO WAY we will tip when we are doing take out. (Pay your employees for crying out loud Bonchon, you cheap …)

App no longer works
In the last month or so, the app starts up and you select “Start an order”. Then it goes to a white screen and stays there for infinity. I tried turning off my VPN but that didn’t help. :-(

The recent update has really improved this app. Way better ordering process.

How has this not been fixed?!?!?! I was standing in the restaurant and tried using the ap, it said it could not find a location near me. Do not bother with this ap!!!
Used to work?
It only shows 2 locations in like Chicago and no other locations, so maybe if you live near one of those 2 locations it’s worth it. I’m just using the website from now on.
