I’ve given up.

This app does not allow one to put in events that repeat on the Xth Wednesday of the month, for example. A big flaw.

The advertisements are still coming even though I pay my subscription monthly.
There are also problems with deleting repeating events.
I’m unsubscribing. A pity.

The app was updated yesterday. But sadly, when I opened the app, I was blessed with another advertisement by Google. I still propose to press for a refund of my monthly subscription. The app would merit over four stars if this could be sorted out.

There are few occasions when I get advertisements now, so I’ve upgraded the rating from one to two. Nevertheless, it is still a breach of contract that I get any, even though I pay a monthly subscription.
They ignore my requests for refunds, even though I am entitled to these in law.
One other feature they should improve is to set up unusual recurrences, such as the third Wednesday of the month. The simplest way is to put in the event without repeats, then open the Apple calendar and enter the repeat there.

I’ve now had to downgrade this to one!
Now I can’t put in repeats! This is a breach of contract.

One improvement has been made since the last post, reducing the cost off the app to make it more attractive to non-business owners.
However, even though I subscribe, I still get annoying advertisements sometimes. This is so annoying, I must downgrade my rating to 2.

The Editing procedure is a bit annoying. I would like to put a lot of information there, even a small document, and be able to work on that.
New features have enhanced the value of this app. There is still some way to go though.
One should be able to turn off calendars that aren’t needed. Also, one should be able to adjust the default event duration, eg from an hour to half an hour. It would also be good if there were an intermediate subscription for personal use. The cost of the subscription is somewhat high to justify for non-business use. I would certainly subscribe, if only to help fund improvements. The new layout needs adjustment for editing the date. The calendar that comes up shouldn’t cover the “Save” button.
Sometimes, one needs to put in a start time that isn’t according to standard time increments. I’ve found out how to do this (write eg. “@7.23pm” in the task description), but few will find this out.
The monthly calendar that comes up does not provide the days for the rest of the week that spill over to the next month, making updates a clumsier operation. I’ve downgraded my rating from 4 to 3, in light of the slow response to most of these suggestions, submitted months ago.

Brillant app for organising your life
Can recommend
Was good but now….???
I love thecalendar and have used for a long time BUT now every few days I am asked to restore my purchase and it is a pain in the *ss. I have to watch these stupids ads before I can restore and I am so tired of it I am now looking for a replacement calendar
Obnoxious ads!
I have used this calendar daily for all of my appts. It is so embarrassing to try scheduling dates in Fri r if a client now, having to deal with the ridiculous forced advertising! This app is garbage now!
Ads pop up even when I paid for premium access
This was in 2025:
The ads come every second even if I pay for pro/premium access and they r embarrassing sometimes for someone if u in a meeting quickly checking for a date or event dates ,
If these reviews reach the app developers can u kindly remove ads especially for us who pay for pro/premium it’s so annoying, embarrassing and irritating we pay for a reason .At this point I think we being scammed of these subscriptions that don’t give us the benefits of swift usage of the app
Now in January 2026:
Please Calendar developer I kindly ask u to stop adding ads when I paid pro subscription. I pay for a reason not good thing for us especially when in important work meetings weird ads pop up so unprofessional. Infact the ads pop every time I open the app I can’t now use my calendar quickly
Again in September 2026:
The app would have been the best but the surging ads are now back again🤢
The ads keep on coming each second when I open the my calendar app regardless of paying for the premium version. Please My calendar app developers kindly look into this and fix it for the premium subscribers.
