I give it 5 stars normally because it’s really useful. But they also quickly an issue I had about notifications, which means they really earned this 5 star in my book.

I love Caltrain! I just wish they would expand service to Gilroy, and I wish they posted more info on the app, like ticketing information and upcoming changes. I also love how quiet the trains are now.

Best Caltrain schedule tracker
Best app and easiest way to check Caltrain schedule/times quickly for the stations you care about. Minor nitpick, but I wish they had a dark mode icon for the Home Screen icon of the app.

WORST TRAIN APP - INACCURATE TIMES
every single time i have used this app it has given me wrong times, and i have missed or gotten on a wrong train. getting this app will be a waste of time and probably ruin your day. just use the actual caltrain websites

Inconvenient
Aren’t apps supposed to bring convenience?
Amount of times thus app doesn’t open and is “unable” to process payments is wild. Missing a train by 30 seconds because it wouldn’t process a payment ahead of time is egregious.

It sounds like your issue is with the official Caltrain Mobile app and not this one (Caltrain+) as this app doesn’t do any kind of mobile ticketing or payment processing.
