Doesnโ€™t work

Consistently says low quality, not worth it.

Export Error

When trying to export the data via email after selecting email the app closes by itself and I am not able to export the data. Please help.

Not fully functional, it seems

I get a "HRV not computed due to poor signal quality" with every attempt, no matter what I do. It would help if I had more information about what that message means.

Doesnโ€™t work

Alway says low quality, using iPhone max pro.
So have stopped using.

Stopped working, red circle doesnโ€™t appear

I paid for this and a few months later it just stopped working. I canโ€™t speak to the science behind it but it did work as sold for those months. Low rating is due to how it stopped working and the lack of support to fix.

I uninstalled and reinstalled and still not working. Cleaned my camera. Re read directions, googled. Nothing.

App developer says we can tweet him, I only use Twitter for work, so. Maybe they will see this and reply? FX.

Response from developer

hi Jay, It seems that you need to provide access to the camera, basically if you do not see the red dot, it means that the app cannot access the camera and therefore the measurement cannot be taken. Please go to your iPhone settings (the phone, not the app) and ensure that the camera can be accessed. Feel free to reach us at hello@HRV4Training.com next time and it will be easier to help. Take care

FAQ

What is this app for?

This app allows you to record, plot, and export Heart Rate Variability (HRV) data using only your smartphone's camera. It analyzes time and frequency domain HRV features to help you understand your cardiac autonomic regulation, stress levels, and the impact of training.

Do I need a separate heart rate monitor to use this app?

No, a key feature of this app is that it does not require any external heart rate monitor. It utilizes photoplethysmography (PPG) by detecting changes in blood volume through your phone's camera and flash.

What kind of HRV features can I get from this app?

The app extracts and plots various HRV features, including heart rate, RR-intervals, and both time domain (AVNN, SDNN, rMSSD, pNN50) and frequency domain (LF, HF, LF/HF) features. It also supports automatic RR-interval correction and event annotation.

What devices are supported for camera measurements?

The app supports camera measurements on a wide range of iPhones, from iPhone 5 up to iPhone 13 series, including various Pro and Max models. Please refer to the app description for the complete list of compatible iPhone models.

How can I use the data from this app?

You can export your recorded data, including heart rates, RR-intervals, events, and computed HRV features, in CSV format to iTunes and Dropbox. This allows for further analysis or integration with other health platforms. The app also integrates with the Health app to write Heart Rate and Heart Rate Variability data.
