Consistently says low quality, not worth it.
Export Error
When trying to export the data via email after selecting email the app closes by itself and I am not able to export the data. Please help.
Not fully functional, it seems
I get a "HRV not computed due to poor signal quality" with every attempt, no matter what I do. It would help if I had more information about what that message means.

Stopped working, red circle doesn’t appear
I paid for this and a few months later it just stopped working. I can’t speak to the science behind it but it did work as sold for those months. Low rating is due to how it stopped working and the lack of support to fix.
I uninstalled and reinstalled and still not working. Cleaned my camera. Re read directions, googled. Nothing.
App developer says we can tweet him, I only use Twitter for work, so. Maybe they will see this and reply? FX.

hi Jay, It seems that you need to provide access to the camera, basically if you do not see the red dot, it means that the app cannot access the camera and therefore the measurement cannot be taken. Please go to your iPhone settings (the phone, not the app) and ensure that the camera can be accessed. Feel free to reach us at hello@HRV4Training.com next time and it will be easier to help. Timer won’t start
I have used this twice and now the timer doesn’t start. This is beyond frustrating.

Stopped working
I used this app for the last year and really liked it but in the last month the timer has stopped working so it only tracks number of beats per minute and nothing else. Maybe it needs to be updated to keep up with the iPhone updates?

Huge Improvement
The new version is a HUGE improvement in signal acquisition. Works much better and has more consistent analysis. I tested this against a laboratory grade HRV instrument and it was quite close. It would be a good app addition for lay people to state “normal” levels and explain the different features and how they impact health and HRV. Would also be nice to choose which studies to graph together to show trend.
This is better than most consumer HRV. If you are serious about measuring you HRV and want it to be easy and accurate, you need this. Very reasonable price too.

Keeps crashing
Used to love this but now every time I measure on my iPhone it crashes

Doesn’t work, never gets good data
I’ve had this app for a couple of years. It never worked from the day I got it, even after multiple updates. I’ve tried it numerous times, and the app hasnever been able to generate an HRV number due to “poor signal quality. “
This is unfortunate, as the companies other app, HRV4Training, is excellent and highly recommended. Use that up with a heart rate monitor and you’re golden. Ignore this app, it’s not worth your time.

Does work
Works very well, computed values seem to be correct.

I was skeptical to buy after reading the previous reviewers rating. But it actually works quite well. Yes, it takes a little practice and actually requires reading the instructions. But compared to a $150 chest strap monitor, this app is genius. I actually went ahead and then bought the whole package of apps by the developer because I wanted to support a great app!

Beat
Now working with iPhone X camera after last update but if you have Atrial fibrillation may not give good results but that’s not the apps fault.
Heart rate needs work
I couldn’t get an accurate heart rate reading...not even close. Kind of a waste of money. I would recommend offering the app for free while you make your algorithms more accurate.

Circle is green during measurement but then responds with „Couldn’t compute feature“.
