Generally a pretty good app. A few things have been frustrating like trying to find the instructions on how to park a bike outside of a dock. Couldn’t find that for the life of me. Still don’t know. Also there was really no way to communicate an issue outside of the phone number.
Get rid of manual bikes
Nobody want to use those slow and useless manual bikes. Stop taking up dock space for the e-bikes.
DO NOT USE
This is the worst one in the world. There is no way to unlock the bikes. There’s no information how to unlock the bike bikes. The bikes are stuck. They do not help you. This is ran by the government that means they don’t care about your service. they don’t care about whether it’s a good or not do not use this.

Customer support issues
The customer support is very useless when it comes to broken stations and bikes. They will charge you for the bike regardless of if they choose to fix the broken bike station or not.

I just wanted to do 2 bikes but the ride share feature doesn’t appear at all and keeps telling me to update when I’m on the newest version

Didn't work when I needed it
Tried like five different bikes each time it just stuck on a spinner wouldn't reserve or give me an error even though my network was good
Highly recommend for all DC visitors
I love Capital Bikeshare. Second time in DC and so happy to use the ride with a friend feature with my wife. Truly the best way to explore the city.
Worked for 2/3 of our family.
On Father’s Day, we were able to get bikes for two out of three family members. We bought three day passes so we spent over an hour going between two stations trying to get the app to work for one of our family members. We tried deleting and re-downloading the app, turning our phones on and off, calling customer support, and all the things we were instructed to do. In the end, no one could help and we still got charged for our three day passes.

bike locked up
these bikes are normally super helpful but the one i was just riding detected that i was riding on the sidewalk (i wasn’t, in fact i was in the middle lane of the street) and locked up and stopped pedaling in the middle of a busy street during rush hour. i was lucky enough that i could quickly get onto a sidewalk but im seriously upset and can’t find a place on the app to report it so here i am. i get it as a safety feature but i was far from the sidewalk and it put me in much more serious danger than riding on the sidewalk. won’t be using this again im sticking to lime bikes from now on

First time using and was not able to unlock a bike. The app just loaded perpetually or did not allow me to add a payment method. Worthless.
Only useful in emergencies
Not much cheaper than Lime or other alternatives. Bikes are often faulty, and ebikes are generally hard to find. Terrible customer service.
Unable to Remove Payment Method
It’s impossible to remove a credit card or payment method from the account! Why does this company need to keep my card information if I’m not even using the service anymore? The fact that I can’t delete it from my account is very concerning. Do not recommend.
Don’t use this
I was trying to use this to get around DC, and it became an absolute nightmare as the kiosk didn’t work properly, and I ended up getting charged multiple times for rides that were supposed to be an all day pass.
The customer service sucks, and I wish I would have just gone with Lime which I know is more reliable.

Poorly maintained
Bikes are poorly maintained. We rented three bikes and one stopped working. We had to call customer service and leave the bike. The other two had rusted chains.
Totally useless for traveling to busy areas
If you want to go to a busy area all of the parking spots will be taken, use lime or something instead

Parking is extortion
Charging people to park bikes when bike stations are full is absolutely insane — provide enough parking to meet demand or make parking free.
