Useless
The app takes forever to load - if it even loads. Then each function just spins and spins, but doesn’t let you get to anything. It’s been like this for weeks. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted the phone, etc. useless. Just go to the website.

I’m shocked that this app is so bad. The pages are mostly unresponsive to screen taps and when they are the screen jumps all over the place.
Never works
For a company like Blue Cross this app is actually worse than Tricare…and that says a lot! Supposedly it’s been updated and still doesn’t work.

Terrible app, has literally never worked. It will keep taking me back to the log in screen after doing two-step authentication. If I can’t even log in to see my benefits our health care system is so broken.
Truly abysmal
Thought the solid 1 star rating was a bit harsh but after trying to use the app for all of 5 minutes I realized it was more than deserving of that rating. The one purpose it should have of making it easy to see how close to my deductible I am, it fails at, as it signs out constantly despite enabling Face ID and requires re-authentication. Never have I seen such a failure of a web container in my life. A high schooler on their first day of coding class could come up with something better in a few minutes than the trash that is this app

Only app that insists on updating itself in app instead of App Store
Every single time you open this app, it decides it HAS to spend 5 minutes updating itself before it can open. It’s the only app I’ve ever seen that refuses to update normally via the App Store like the other ten billion apps in existence.
But then what do you even expect from a health insurance company at this point? I’m surprised they haven’t coded the app to attempt to kill you just for having the nerve to ever attempt to file claims and cost them money.

Is this what my premium goes towards?
I’ve been denied coverage for a number of things, so I KNOW CareFirst has money to at the very least MAKE A BETTER APP. This AND the website are TERRIBLE. Cheap. Cuts corners. LAZY.

This app is god awful
This is the first app I have ever left a negative review about. It slow and clunky. Barely works half the time and every time I try to open it and login it has an update that is separate from the standard App Store update. The interface itself is intuitive enough to make sense but the performance SUUUUUCKS. And I have zero say in using it because it’s who my company offers. Anyway, use it with patience!

Intentionally bad app
CareFirst has the resources to make this app usable but chooses not to fix it. It is an intentional barrier to transparency and consumer empowerment.
Worst app ever
This app is terrible. Makes you sign in multiple times. Things take forever to load. IF they load. Good luck finding a new doctor- things aren’t always up-to-date. I just received a new message saying sorry for the delayed response. It only took them 3 & 1/2 months to reply.
Absolutely useless
CareFirst must be intentionally sabotaging their own app. There is no excuse for such a huge insurance company to have a non-functional app. Save yourself the hassle and just stick to desktop.

It must be incredible to be so bad at your job that you can release an app like this and not worry about getting fired. If I wasn’t in need of serious medical medical care, it would be funny.
Terrible, slow, crashes
This is such a poor performing “app”. It freezes, loads, crashes out. I can’t expect to use it for even the most basic of functions.
Never works
The app never works for me, and since I can never find the website it makes this insurance very difficult to navigate.
