Wasn’t able to rent my car and purchased a protection plan and everything and they’re still beating around the bush about my refund as well as ignoring me.
Beware - fraudulent experience
I reserved an automatic car through Carla, but when I arrived at the rental agency they showed me that Carla had booked a manual. Upon calling Carla they first denied the issue, then blamed it on a system error, and offered to cancel and refund. I was forced to rebook on the spot at double the price and Carla has thus far refused to compensate for the difference. Do not use this company

I rode my bike about 45 min away to dine out that U-Save has a mandatory insurance policy. And the staff was super rude. Carla should have that info and advise before we can make a reservation as they do the. Security deposit. I would give negative if I could. Plus I cancelled reserv and did not get my money back for the initial charges

EU insurance laws expect companies to ensure they provide product disclosure, however all this business provides as information for their protection product is “it protects things”. Do not trust. And do not click as you will be charged without option to confirm. Seems apple has dropped the ball in certifying this app as in app purchases absolutely exist outside of their platform
UPDATE: the developer reply is nonsense. This company is a fraud. They have no intentions to actually make their app better, nor provide a service. DO NOT CLICK BUTTONS IN THE APP, they will simply take money off you and sell you fake products. Then their AI driven customer service will just loop you around and around. Then a human will pretend they have no idea what’s happening.

MAJOR RED FLAGS — AVOID!
I booked an Enterprise rental for one week through Carla and was charged $119.14, including what was advertised as full coverage. When I arrived at Enterprise, their system showed that I had NO coverage and instructed the employee to sell me coverage again. I would have been forced to pay twice for something I had already purchased!
The Enterprise employee reviewed the reservation with me and warned that the situation appeared extremely suspicious. The employee also advised me that some third-party rental apps like this are operated using AI and are set up to scam customers through misleading reservations and charges. Whether or not that is exactly what happened here, my experience raised every possible red flag.
Even worse, Carla placed an Exxon corporate discount on my reservation, although I do not work for Exxon and have absolutely no affiliation with the company. I never authorized the use of that corporate discount.
I demanded a full refund, cancellation of the reservation, deletion of my account, and protection of my personal and payment information. This experience left me deeply concerned about how this app handles customers’ reservations, money, and personal data.
Save yourself the stress and book directly through the rental company. I would not trust Carla with another reservation or my payment information.

Careful with places you select
Their system does not honor the location you choose and might book you miles away from your selected pickup/drop-off locations. You only find out after finalizing the reservation and have to pay fees to cancel.

I used this app to rent a car.. I showed up to enterprise in the vehicle was not available.. I contacted Carla to issue refund.. not only that they’re not cancel. It did not refund and now I can’t get a hold of them so I paid Afterpay $200 plus dollars when was never able to get a car or get a hold of a customer service represent be aware of this app and just go directly to the rental companies

They don’t include the details or specific requirements that venders require in order to rent a car it’s strictly just “booking” your better off just going to the rental cars official website instead of overpaying for an unnecessary service and getting charged for a service they didn’t really provide.

Constant interruptions
I just got into the app and after every move I’m asked to rate the app… I’d like to finish what I’m doing before being bombarded - it’s annoying. Also, your costs are too high.

I booked through this service after seeing it promoted prominently on Skyscanner and paid around £80. When I arrived at Porto Airport and went to the Europcar desk, I waited about 30 minutes only to be told that there was no reservation under my name.
In the end, Europcar rented me a car as a normal walk-in customer and I had to pay the full three-day rental price directly to them. They had no information about the money I had already paid through this service and even told me I would have paid the same amount if I had simply walked in myself.
So what exactly did I pay £80 for? Absolutely nothing.
This was one of the most pointless services I have ever paid for. Seeing it advertised through Skyscanner made me assume it was reliable, which makes the experience even more disappointing.
I would give 0 stars if the App Store allowed it. I definitely do not recommend this service.

FRAUD DO NOT USE
RentCarla advertises cars and prices that aren’t real. It cannot guarantee prices, a car type, seats or transmission. It “only” charges you $20 upfront which is their commission leaving you dealing with the car rental companies on the end.
I’ve had a denied booking. Literally no car for you. I’ve had $3,500 security deposits for a one day rental, I’ve had to scale down the car from 7 people to 5 people forcing us to change our trip and getting a fine for having one passenger too many. I have contacted RentCarla’s customer service and they literally did NOTHING. No refunds. They have no leverage with car rental companies it’s just a FRAUD. BUYER BEWARE.
