It’s no balatro, but okay fun
I’ve played a bit and gotten the hand of it enough to start winning. There’s a lot of content here, but it’s just not as exciting as balatro. I feel like there are fewer runs here where you feel that electric synergy. I think the game would be improved with more opportunities to actually start modifying your deck rather than just adding stickers to cards. It’s fun don’t get me wrong, but I don’t see this having the lasting appeal of balatro.

It’s fun but the optimisation of this mobile version is quite bad. Played it for about an hour on a brand new iphone 17 pro max and it started getting crazy hot, and it was burning battery as quick as it was charging when I had to eventually put it on charge. It didn’t cool down until I turned the phone off, long after already closing the game. This was on medium graphics settings. I am sadly concerned to continue playing this until I know it won’t overheat my phone.
Another less important issue with the game but still slightly disappointing is that the audio tends to quickly glitch out and the music will start to sound very weird. Not a huge issue overall, but not ideal.
I will still give it 5 star cause the game itself is fun, and I will hold out hope that the developer/s can fix this problem, and maybe in a couple days I will try it again and it won’t be so hard for my phone to run, and it would just be an unlucky occurrence on my end. If so I will amend my review, but for now I want to write one to get my thoughts out about it.
Edit: thanks for the reply! After playing a bit more on low it seems to play normal, which is good. It’s a nice game to play out and about when you’re bored you can turn it on and let time pass you by. I didn’t try it on higher settings since, but the game still looks good on low so I can’t be too upset about it. Now I just have to actually get good at the game so I don’t lose before I reach a third of the way through on easy lol

Thank you for playing and leaving a nice review! I will look into optimizing battery usage, but you can try setting the graphics quality to Low for better battery life and processor usage in the meantime. Thanks again!
Shotgun Build
Fun concept. A great game for a weekend. Once you figure out what stickers (shotgun, ammo, double barrel) play well together it becomes very hard to loose and most of the strategy becomes about getting those stickers. I don’t even look at the cards anymore it’s all about sticker mechanics and interaction. Which is its own kind of fun.

プレイしていただきありがとうございます!バッテリー寿命を延ばすため、グラフィックモードを「低」に設定してみてください。重ねて感謝申し上げます。

Deceptively Complex & Fun
I don’t know if Balatro inspired this game, but the comparison is hard to ignore: it’s like Balatro, except your Jokers are shuffled into your deck, so you don’t always draw them.
The premise is simple: rearrange a 3×8 grid of cards to create poker hands and score points. With clever positioning you can make multiple hands at once, and your stickers (the game’s version of Jokers) create satisfying chains of retriggers that can send your score far beyond what you expected. I’m still discovering new interactions, and watching everything cascade is incredibly satisfying.
The game loads almost instantly (about a second from my home screen to continuing a run on an iPhone 16), the music is relaxing, the presentation is full of charm, and the bird is adorable.
My only complaint is the final challenge that disables the hand-detection preview. It feels less like an interesting gameplay modifier and more like removing a quality-of-life feature. I’d love to see more varied final challenges instead.
Overall, this is a fantastic game that I keep coming back to, and I highly recommend it.

Thank you! If you change the graphics mode to low in settings, the framerate is reduced to 30fps and battery usage is reduced. Thanks for playing and leaving a review!
Ich liebe es
Wirklich ein super schönes Kartenspiel !Man merkt einfach das sich hier richtig Mühe gegeben wurde und es stimmt einfach jedes Detail ! Absolute Empfehlung !
Brilliant, but more importantly: fun!
Literally everything about Cascadou is well-designed and even more impressively executed. This is not at all surprising to me considering that its creator, machineboy, has a history of making quality games that stick with you long after you first play them. Don’t be fooled by the seemingly simple premise of what Cascadou presents to you initially on a surface level, thanks to an array of modes and features, the replay value here is astounding. I can honestly say I’m going to still be playing this game with satisfaction for years to come.
