Doesn’t work on iOS
Doesn’t work on iOS fully updated as of 5/18/2026 on modern device. Simple things like scrolling the months of your DOB don’t work, can’t select a month below what is shown. And other things are glitchy. I’m gonna paper my way through
Useless App
I have never seen any application worse than this. Not just the mobile app, same with the website app. I am trying to book the flight ticket but I am not able to pass the name validation no matter what I have tried. It’s turning the customer away. Feel so sorry for China Airlines.
Someone needs to be fired
App don’t work website also can’t check in wasted 6 hours. I am tech guy btw.
Can’t even get an account started
Chinese name? Dont have one but it insists I enter one. Login number cant even get an account going. App is worthless

Slow and poorly designed and organized
The app is incredibly slow. Many times it fails to load. This is true across various WiFi and data networks I have tested, so it is an inherent problem with the app. It is poorly organized. This poor quality is consistent with the user experience on the China Airlines website, which is also very slow and does not make key travel information such as booking details easily available.

Useless
Won’t accept my ticket number in the format I got it in. Can’t work out their format for love nor money. App is so useless they can’t convert lowercase to upper. Wouldn’t accept my name as per my passport so I could see my flights or check in. Don’t waste your time with this app
Bad design
Not very easy to use and verify identity again and again it’s very troublesome bothers the customer a lot by asking lotta detail questions lack of automated process, used to have trip records, all of sudden, all records are gone with no explanation.
Doesn’t work
Just downloaded the app and it won’t let me log in because it said I needed the newer version. Huh? I just downloaded it and it changed within a second?
Works but very bad app
The app works but the design and experience is just horrendous. Its so hard to do basic things. The app is so far behind other airlines. I hope they can improve this. I never realized how much a good app matters until I used this one because it’s so inefficient.

The app is incapable of doing anything. Is this just an iOS problem? What good is having an dedicated app if almost every link just opens a page on the website??
Is that a bug？
The membership QR-code can’t be displayed fully on my screen. So also I can’t add membership card to apple wallet.
Worst Airline AP
Difficult to use. Our Business Class trip was not found by their AP even on the return trip. Constantly requires Captcha input. Really poor tie in with their airline database. Months after setup, they still cannot send messages to my iphone.

Very long, always ask for update and took long time to find the button that I need
App needs work lots of bugs
I was turned away a few times from signing up for China Airline membership using the app because of bugs. For example I had to use all CAPS for my English name entry otherwise the system wouldn’t proceed. After a few tries with a few other minor bugs I was able to sign up finally but I forgot to write down the membership number and the system wouldn’t let me login using my phone number or email. Really painful to use. I grew up with China Airline so it’s hard for me to give up my heritage company. Please keep trying China Airline!

Frustrated
1. I cannot find “united state of America.” To start with. Luckily I was able to switch to other languages and found it.
2. What the hell is Ms, Mstr, miss, ect. Is this even important to create an account?
3. No matter how many time I type my name. It kept telling me is not correct. Ok, No space, no dash, no lower case. Added middle name, removed middle name. I tried everything and still can satisfy the system. Seriously? You think I can’t spell my own name?!?
I gave up.
