Constant errors, sloooow updates

Frequently gives an error message tagging on. Takes hours to update, so there’s no usable record of tag on. Worst app on my phone.

Unusable

You can’t even plan a trip on TS. If you made this easier to use or if it was actually functional maybe more people would use it?

Inconsistent and tiresome

Often has issues actually filling card. Also very shouting having to say no to the same question every single time I log in. Do YOU want enable push notification? No I didn’t think so.

Very outdated

Outdated. Hard to find features. not user friendly at all. Also doesn’t sync with Apple Pay automatically

Downgrade from MUNI Mobile

Why fix something that’s not broken with an inferior product. Having been forced to switch from MUNI Mobile to Clipper, I now cannot buy multiple single rides and multiple day passes and simply choose which one I want to use for a specific ride or on a specific day.

Don’t give any BS about that being difficult to set up.

Extremely frustrating!

Obstacles at every turn: trying to set up an account, apply for a discount card, add the card to Apple wallet . . . All stymied by the buggy software. This could be so simple - but isn’t!!

unusable

When i tried to add cash balance, this app gave me errors saying transaction didn't go through and try again later. so i did. At end of day, all the attempts went through and gave me an unwanted big balance. Now i'm trying to buy a monthly pass and the app just spins. My partner and colleagues also complain about this app. San Francisco deserves better.

Use Google Maps

There is literally no advantage to using the Clipper app over Google. A month after the fact, the app still shows outdated route information, same as Google. Arrival times are wrong and updated at the last minute, same as Google. What a waste of programmer time!

Difficult to manage account.

No way to remove a credit card or modify CC information using the app. Please fix this app. My benefit card is always denied and there is no way to update or remove a payment card.

Review

I feel that my money is taken out more than it should for several times.

Mandatory sign in and several steps to purchase credits are time consuming and unnecessary

Account management

Account management is not easy to navigate and leads to a lot of dead ends. Removing cards is impossible based on the dead end requirements that are impossible to fulfill. Loading and updating payments on is impossible if your card expires. It’s a convenient service that is not accessible.

I also have had accounting errors with my funds not showing up in my cash account even after my card has been clearly charged. (Charges posted twice with missing funds)

The app is kicking you out very hast

Every time I get to the station I have to login again and it takes a long time to do that, it is extremely annoying when I’m in a hurry

Such an embarassing app for “tech city”

Please hire some new grad tech interns so maybe you could allow people to make their payments on app for transit🤡

Harvesting PI then blocks you

I installed this app to buy ferry tickets while visiting SF. They collected my personal information, then sent me a confirmation email. I clicked on the link in that email and got banned by their "security service ".

Forced to download app

I should not have to download this app in order to buy a day pass with credit card. This is a ridiculous requirement in this day and age. It is also asking me to create an account before I can buy a pass on the app, as if we don't have to deal with enough logins already.

It's work

Me es muy funcional está aplicación

Why do I have to download an app to do some thing? The website should be able to do?

I don’t know why clipper had to go to this horrible 2.0 system where they haven’t been charging people and all that yada yada yada, which I stayed out of until now when I realized my cards that I don’t tend to use frequently because the what turned out broken tap to pay was literally free and worth it for the sometimes free ride… I didn’t realize how many free rides I got till later, it was luck.

But when I tried to use my cards again 2 of them were blocked with money on them. It had been a few months and I might have stopped using them for being glitchy and put it out of my mind. But I wanted to fix them as I am planning to go back to a transit pass soon as I will be doing potential more distance travel and not just bike. I tapped To see blocked cards. I went on the website and it told me add money at a kiosk to fix it. I use muni in a way I’m often not at a kiosk area. So I Went to the Caltrain station. Added five bucks. Tried to get on the Caltrain with no luck because the card was still blocked.

I had tried all the troubleshooting I could find on clippers website, and even some that we’re on Reddit to know avail. I then emailed the customer support and never heard back. So I’d begrudgingly called them. I hate being on the phone because I don’t want to be on the phone ever. If I’m on the phone I’ve already spent hours troubleshooting this myself because I don’t want to have to call some underpaid person to have to explain something I should be able to do online.

Only to be told I have to use the app. What on earth would I have done if I wasn’t individual who only uses laptops and doesn’t use a smart phone? I don’t want this app. If only the app can fix it, you are failing us. This app should not be needed. Period. You deserve this 1 star for refusing to fix your website. I’m a millennial, we are the generation with the peak of tech usage. How dare you make me struggle when we are the easy ones!

Why does the website not give the feedback of the problem correctly? Why! Don’t answer that. There is no good reason. If the website doesn’t work, you need to get rid of the website and replace it with a thing that says everything is done in the app. I would still hate it. But at least I would’ve been told to go to the right place at some point without having to call.

If your support is not being supported you are a horrible company! How many times have they told you this is missing? Or do you just not listen? Doesn’t matter. You should fix the website to give proper indications! I hope my credit cards keep dropping the fares and you keep ending up on the news and getting sued for the money you can’t collect correctly! I will be watching all my cards better as clipper 2.0 is horrible except for we get free stuff from their failure. This app and website issue highlights a huge problem!

Takes your money and does not let you use the balance on your card

Takes your money and does not let you use the balance on your card. Bought a monthly pass and the app would not let me use the pass to take link.

Called customer support, was on the phone for an hour. Said they would refund me and they never did. Made me pay the $3 for a new card as well.
Still no monthly pass, $86 down the drain.
