Top reviews

had it for about five years - only in the last year have they upgraded the app and it’s excellent!

I travel a lot and watch my house from thousands of miles away. We have the Mitsubishi in the sunroom that has huge fluctuation from hot to cold extreme. Now that the app is improved, I can keep it ideal all day long.

Schedule

The schedule function only allows the selection of a start time but no end time so is basically useless.

Bad app

The app constantly logs you out and move the ownership of the devices to the contractor that installed it, the only way to get it back is to call Mitsubishi app support. I’ve had the system for 2 months and this has happened 3 times. This app is so bad that even technicians have a hard time setting it up. When it works it does what it’s supposed to do, but the logout happens whenever there’s a forced app update, or even when it ask
You to review the app… any message from the app seems to trigger this logout and ownership transfer. I don’t have this issue with any other thermostat apps Mysa, Honeywell, Nest all work flawlessly.

Comfort App

Not the easiest process to synch initially, but once working functions well.

Great app

We use this app to manage our 8-Head ductless mini-split. Very helpful!

Works great

I have zero complaints about the app. I have full control of my system.

Has not worked with iPhone

After one year, we still have not been able to get the app to work at all on our iPhone with our Mitsubishi mini split. It’s been very frustrating.

Connection issues

Connection to network is sometimes problematic. Otherwise is easy to use.

Garbage system

I spent lots on a system that despite a good signal it doesn’t connect. What a waste of money this was.

My phone has a good signal in 2.4 and 5G but this pos system refuses to work properly and even the technicians couldn’t even get it to work. Do better!

Needs interface to Apple home

It would be great if this app had an interface to the Apple Home many other thermostats today. The requirements for a 2.4 GHz router also makes set up challenging where I had to put in an old school router to make it work.

Intuitive to use

I’m thankful for this app to be able to control my mini splits. I rarely use the remotes because this is so convenient!

Phenomenal

I use it everyday. It’s reliable and I don’t need the actual remotes. Love it!

Frequent Disconnects

From my units. I have a robust mesh network… this app and/or hardware sucks

Unreliable

Goes off line and takes days to get it back up. Just a terrible app!

Midea Will Crush You

Really terrible app. Mitsubishi should go out of business.

No Matter support

I don’t use Google or Alexa so the app integrations aren’t useful. If the device has Bluetooth and WiFi, it should support Matter, but it doesn’t.

Greatly improved with new update

The app’s reliability and ease of use have both improved greatly since the most recent update. It’s now possible to control all zones at once. Changes to temperature or other setting seem to take effect immediately and temperature measurements update in real time. It seems the developers have listened to user feedback and made significant improvements.

A joke of an App

The Comfort app has a fairly poor reputation among Mitsubishi owners. There's no way to troubleshoot anything within the app. My zone went “offline” in the Comfort app, but I can still control it with Alexa, and my wireless router shows it remains connected to my Wi-Fi. I can't even delete the zone once created, just to try recreating it. If I’d known I'd have to rely solely on this app, I wouldn't have chosen Mitsubishi devices. The UI is outdated, it lacks basic diagnostics, and the fact that you can’t check the connection status, Wi-Fi signal strength, firmware version, or event logs for an individual adapter is frustrating. An HVAC app in 2026 should definitely offer those features.

Changes temperature randomly

As it used to do (back when it was called Kumo cloud), it’ll change the set temperature on its own. I will set it to temperature A and then I’ll check later and see that it is now set for temperature B. It continues to fail at its most basic functionality.

Just the worst

It’s like being back in the early aughts when onboarding and managing devices was enough to make you go postal … ONLY WORSE. There is not time or space enough to describe how bad this app is. The developers should be ashamed.
