Infuriatingly unusable
I tried to be open minded and give the new update a chance. But I give up- the new update has no relation to the founding spirit of couchsurfing. It feels more like quick swiping profile pics on Tinder with a focus a social activities. The user interface is cumbersome and not intuitive. I have no use for it in its current state. Fix it!

Need to be more user friendly
I love this facility. New application need improvement. I can’t find some option like delete trip,..
App almost never works.
Constant error messages. Messages don’t load. Image quality is terrible. They sure do like to request payments for use and verification though.
Worst UX Design
I’ve used this app for more than 10 years, and tell you what. I will not be continuing using this app after their awful update. Subscription or free, I’m out, this app’s UX design is just bad.

Another bad update
How can they have yet another update where you can't see people's photos unless their face is exactly centre frame (on iPhone). It's just madness. Get it together.
App was Awesome… not now
I’ve been with couch surfing since 2010 and had over 100 guests in my home. The old app was perfect for what CouchSurfing is. However now it is confusing, impossible to use and not designed for couchsurfers and hosts. Unless the app is drastically improved, it’s likely I’ll move across to Coucher and BeWelcone.

With this update, you don’t need enemies anymore. This update is the biggest enemy of your company! You completely destroyed the app and turned it into a piece of garbage full of bugs. While using it, my phone gets so hot it feels like it's going to catch fire. Did you hire an enemy to code this update for you??!!!!

Scam
Paid 4.99 to join and check out the community only to then be told it costs 29.99 to get verified and actually have a chance at meeting people. I was on this forum 15+ years ago as a young traveler and loved it due to the no-cost easy accessibility features. Not so anymore. I gave it 2 stars since the app itself is nifty. Otherwise, Try reddit.

Que pedazo de mierda
La aplicación en su última versión es un pedazo de mierda. No se pueden ver las fotos, los filtros son una basura. La aplicación en general es una basura. Que pedazo de mierda. Dónde está hangouts???
The most busted app redesign ever
These geniuses took a perfectly functional app and made it almost unusable. It’s shocking. I’m on the opposite side of the planet and keep getting requests to stay at my place, because the app seems to no longer have a way to change your hosting status. And when you decline, it sends a cold-sounding, automated rejection. There’s no way to write your own message. Absolute garbage. If I ran CS, I would fire the people who made this or sue the company who did. It’s almost impressively bad.

HORRIBLE DESIGN
They have ruined the essence of what couchsurfing used to be! I have years hosting people and honestly with this new design I honestly don’t fancy to keep helping travelers anymore just because of how bad this new design is!
Ruined
I loved this app so much. I met so many people on Hangouts over the years. They utterly ruined it. Why they would basically sunset the best and most popular feature is totally beyond me. But it’s sad, because it used to be really awesome.
The developers need to be fired
Couchsurfing was by far the best app on the planet but some developers destroyed this community. Now this app is completely over. No one is using it because of the recent update. Such a shame

I’ve been on Couchsurfing since it was first created. I used to love this site. In fact I met my wife through Couchsurfing. The fact that they have a hard paywall now you can’t even view your history without paying some corporation ransom money is completely ridiculous.
Bring back hangouts
They ruined an app that was good for many years. Hangouts no longer works.
