Migraine-Inducing

This app would be great—IF it ever worked!! The design is good and would be helpful, but the functionality of the app itself SUCKS. It never loads without having to close and reopen/login multiple times, and it doesn’t save the data of any migraine event without several attempts. The error messages are random and rampant when using the app. For something that should be used for tracking migraines, it more successfully CAUSES them.

Surprisingly bad UI

I don’t usually write reviews but I just started using the Cove app as my telehealth provider and the app UI is really bad. It’s surprisingly bad given that this is the only way you’ll ever interact with your provider, it’s not like it’s a supplemental service for in-person visits. It doesn’t auto-log you out when you exit the app, it gives an error message every time I reopen it telling me “user does not exist” or some such thing. The easiest way around this is to manually restart it, which is just very poor and weird design. There’s no biometric or passkey login option (common for health portals) and it doesn’t save your credentials. You have to re-enter your email address every time you log in (again, after doing the restart thing to even get to the login screen at all). It’s weird and inconvenient for an app which ostensibly can be used as a migraine tracker. There’s also no support accessible via the app and they don’t show you your rx shipping or billing info. I actually have no information on tracking for my new rx at all. I called customer support and they said it should be sending by email soon but there’s no way to see my next ship date or skip a shipment from within the app, or on the website for that matter. This is off-putting and has scam vibes, I would immediately change this. I’ve already given them 150$ and while I get that it takes a bit to process, have not received any “your order is on the way” type notification to confirm that my consultation actually went anywhere. I receive my birth control through one of their sister companies, Nurx, which has none of these odd UI issues and tracks your RX shipment directly in the app. Just clone that app lol, it’s far better.

My experience with getting migraine treatment has been fine, just a much worse virtual experience than expected

It could be something very good, but it’s not

As someone wrote a review 3 years ago, the concept is good but the reality is flaw.
When you have a migraine crisis, you need a fast treatment and this definitely not what Cove has to offer.
In their website says that they offer support 24/7, but don’t think this means fast response. It only means that you can send a message to the doctor anytime. But the reality they don’t specify (at least I couldn’t find it online) is that doctors reply within 48-72h. Well, be aware that’s not always accurate. As of now, I’ve been waiting for an answer from my provider since Monday (today is Friday), so way more than 48 or 72 hours.
I might be wrong on this, but I think that Cove doctors don’t work exclusively at Cove, so that’s probably why it takes too long.

Too many problems

I’m having way too many problems on the app and getting the prescription. I’ve been going back-and-forth with the provider for over a week. While I understand prior authorizations are required for a lot of migraine medication. This would’ve been way. Simpler to take care of phone call instead of a message waiting for a reply that takes 24 hours in between each one. This has been a very lengthy process. I’ve been doing this for over a week and still do not have a prescription. Every time I open the app and write a message back it tells me it’s null object void after I typed the message out and then I have to re-log back in every time. recommend seeing a local provider or someone with telehealth versus someone that only communicates through chatting. they’ve already received their money from my insurance company so there’s no incentive for them to reach back out quickly. If I’ve already had migraine medication and was just looking for a company to refill or not needing something urgently, this may be a good product. I thought I would be able to get the medication before my current insurance lapsed so I use this instead of seeing a local doctor when in hindsight a local doctor would’ve been way better.

The “Cove Care” extra charge is a scam.

I used their service because the medication was cheaper than I was able to get. The biggest scam this company does though, is their “Cove Care” extra charge. They charge an extra $10 a month (charged quarterly when your medication shipped) so you’re charged an extra $30 along with your medication on a separate charge. This service is nothing but an extra money grab. The service includes “Unlimited messaging to your provider/regular check ins with your provider and access to a migraine tracker.” I’ve don’t need unlimited access to my provider for migraines. I’ve never had to speak to anyone other than when a prescription had to be renewed. And the migraine tracker…I guarantee over 90% of the users have never used that thing. It does exactly what a pen and paper or typing it in your notepad does. It’s just something to throw on to make it look like you’re getting some extra perk. The “Cove Care” charge is an absolute scam and they know it.
