My Maytag washer
I purchased my Maytag washer September 4 and right after that it started making a loud noise I called for service and the repairman said the belt was bad. Not heard from them since. After many calls to Whirlpool they told me the belt is out of stock. I am without a washer.
Bad customer service
I got a new Whirlpool refrigerator that became defective after only about 6 months of having it and the refrigerator was never even used. I called to get a repair and the first time the tech from their contracted repair company (Via Appliance) visited a week after I made the service request he diagnosed a problem. Keep in mind when he arrived he and I had already noticed the compressor was extremely hot but he stated the problem was the starter that kept the refrigerator from cooling. He provided a followup appointment to install the part he stated was needed. I had to wait another week for him to come out again. When he arrived, he realized the wrong part was ordered at the time he reached my home as opposed to checking the part before he arrived at the home. So I had to wait yet another week for him to come out again. Once he installed it he stated now the problem was the compressor (that was already identified as hot but he initially said was not a problem) and it needed to be replaced. He further stated the entire backside of the refrigerator needed to be removed and pretty much everything would need to either be readjusted or worked on including the freon in order to install a new compressor. He then stated he would not be able to give me a new appointment date as the part needed to be ordered and he was unsure how long it would take to arrive. I told him I needed everything fixed within one week as too much time had already passed and I needed a working refrigerator. That’s also not taking into account all the missed time I had to take out of my days for those useless visits to the home as if I don’t have anything to do but just sit in my home all day. The tech ultimately just said for me to contact Whirlpool directly to express my concern.
I called Whirlpool to discuss my concern and someone who said she was a supervisor answered the phone. I asked for the refrigerator to be replaced because at this point it didn’t seem a repair was possible. This alleged supervisor stated the manufacturer warranty did not cover replacement and it only covered repairs. After several times I insisted on getting a replacement she continued to state it can only be repaired and not even she could tell me an estimated date of arrival of whatever part or parts were needed to attempt another repair. I told her I was running out of time and needed to have everything fixed within 3 days. She was unwilling to do anything else except for just give me an extra 12 months on my manufactures warranty. I eventually get an automated phone call from Whirlpool stating the part(s) was/were on back order. I finally get a call like 3 weeks later from via appliance stating the parts for repair were in. I informed them that it was way too late and unfortunately I had to get rid of that refrigerator and purchase a new one from another place because I couldn’t be without a working refrigerator beyond a certain date.
So in the end I wasted my money on a Whirlpool refrigerator that had not even been used yet and wasted time from that interpreted with work and other things by staying at home basically for nothing. Then of course the new refrigerator wasn’t free so I had to spend money on that. Now imagine if I actually needed to use the refrigerator. From the time I noticed it wasn’t working to the time I was called to say the final parts ordered arrived about at least one month had passed. What the heck would I have done to refrigerate my food, beverages, etc. for that amount of time?
As if it wasn’t bad enough, Whirlpool apparently doesn’t make this refrigerator too often as I found out when I went to the store I purchased it in and they did not have this refrigerator available to repurchase in their system. I’m glad it wasn’t available though so I would not have been tempted to buy another useless refrigerator of the same brand, make, and model just because I was desperate to have a working unit by a certain time.
Needless to say I will NEVER purchase anything from Whirlpool ever again. NEVER.

Can’t open the app
It appears I lost all of my appliance information. Very disappointed.
Don’t Bother
This app is largely useless. Customer Service directs you to the app, the app offers very little information . I deleted it shortly after downloading, then went out and purchased a different brand refrigerator.
