Apple Watch compatibility
How come the most recent app update removed seeing my blood sugar at a glance on my watch face? I don’t always have the free hands to hold let alone open my phone and app to do a simple blood sugar check. Also I wish I could clear alerts for the app on my watch. Some nights when I am putting my baby back to sleep my blood sugar spikes and I don’t have my phone with me and the constant alerts keeps my baby awake. Please return the watch face feature.

The alerts do not have the correct frequency
The app is solid besides the fact that the alerts go off every 5 minutes regardless of the frequency I set. It is INCREDIBLY annoying and the app has been doing it for 4years with no change. I can tell it to beep me every 3 and a half hours, and it will still go off every 5 minutes
Sensor and or transmitter failure
For my current and last 3 sensors, it would fail on day 6 or 7. The dots would be all over the place even after calibrating. It gives false lows like saying I was 90 when I was really 150+. It once said I was 54 but I was really 150+. The only good thing is they send a free replacement each time. They should look into why the sensors and or transmitter is failing so frequently. Yes, I know they’re phasing G6 out. I was having false lows when I was on G7 (almost a year ago) but hoping they fix this when I go back.

Inconsistent and frustrating
Woke up and checked my blood sugar through the dexcom app and my app says it’s not working correctly? Says to re download the app and when I do my current cgm that I have on no longer works so I’m forced to put a new one on. Had several times where my cgm isn’t reading for 30+ minutes or even hours.

Don’t update the June/july 2026 update they don’t care about how laggy the app is now that the G6 is retired
The app disappeared from my Apple Watch
The app on my Watch disappeared, and I have no reason why. Still works on my phone, but I rely on it to work on my watch as well.

I love Dexcom but..
The graph has disappeared since yesterday’s update.
Discontinued but served me well through its lifespan
Sad that these got discontinued, it was a huge breakthrough in diabetes management technology and had a good experience from 2018 to 2026.

Years-long bugs and unreliable alerts
I’m wearing my last G6 sensor before I switch to the G7, but figured now is as good of a time as any to leave a disappointed review of the app.
On the positive side, I am grateful that this technology exists, and that when the sensors fail (as they do about once a month on average), the company is usually accommodating with free replacements. Dexcom Clarity is also a highly useful element of this product, but this review pertains only to this app.
Unfortunately, the alerts, which are the most crucial features of the app, are somehow both unhelpful and startling at the same time. I wish there were a way for me to acknowledge high or low alert early if I know I’m going to get one in a few minutes anyway. There’s really nothing like knowing my blood sugar might go out of range and wanting to silence that notification early, but having countless interviews, classes, etc., interrupted by a noise that disrupts everyone around me in a 50 foot radius. Not to mention how, although I have rise and fall rate alerts turned on, they only notify me after my blood sugar is out of range when the rise or fall rate was already significant almost an hour before the app made me aware of it.
The integration with iOS is also disappointing, because Siri has extreme limits on what information she can share with me, and the widgets rarely have real time data. The warm-up time being two hours long is extremely inconvenient for people who rely on this technology so much. My sensor will end at 110, but the next one will begin at 254 as much as I try to prevent it.
It’s also concerning that when there may be an issue with the sensor, the app is extremely generous on guessing the glucose values, often insisting that my blood sugar is up to 200 or 300 points above or below my actual glucose reading.
Lastly, my app has had a bug for about five years now, that no iOS, app version, or iPhone model upgrade has been able to resolve. When launching the app, the orientation of the graph sometimes flickers from horizontal to vertical back-and-forth several times, and usually lands in an orientation that glitches so badly that most of the indicators and buttons are invisible. This happened about once every day or so for the last five years, and requires me to quit and reopen the app in hopes that the glitch resolves. Nobody on tech support knew how to resolve it.
The graphics used to illustrate the sensor in the app are poor and could have easily been improved by a few hours redrawing them in a vector program.
Even the features like “add event” are not intuitive, and I didn’t feel inclined to use them at all in the last 10 years.
When looking at the color scheme, feature placements, fonts, and symbols, this app has never looked better than something a design intern could have whipped up in Figma with one day of training. It’s truly abysmal for a company that is so uniquely positioned in the market, is trusted for critical medical information by so many people, and charges hundreds or thousands of dollars for their products every month. I look forward to switching to the G7 soon, but I am desperate for a completely different experience than what I had with the G6.

Unreliable
Unfortunately after 3 years of use this has been more of a challenge then a help with managing my blood glucose.
After calibration it will have its periods of inaccurate readings and many sensor failures.
When it works it works but be aware that the sensor might randomly fail .

Y’all need to fix this immediately asap! Now I already used up all my sensors and I have none left!!
Apps issue
Apps not allowing to create account after entering all data
Terrible
I love having a CGM. But this app makes it so hard. I had to log in to share my readings with my parents, but it said “Account not found.” We tried this multiple times, with tech help on the line. We had to delete the app, and re enter everything. This is incredibly annoying as well as the “No sensor readings” and it says wait 3 hours. No. That is stupid as hell. My life is on the line because of your stupid app.

No Calibration in G6
Readings can be wildly inaccurate because the G6 cannot be calibrated. I spent 1.5 hours on the phone with your tech support, speaking to 5 people before I finally got someone who admitted to me that the G6 Pro cannot be calibrated. The sensor I am wearing now is regularly off by 20 or more points.
"Life Saver"
Dex 6 system have provided the constant monitoring that have enabled me to do a better job controlling my blood sugar levels.

Mentally draining
Sensors constantly fail just a couple days after applying, glucose is off by 100+ all the time even if you calibrate daily. I have used this app for years and it’s problem after problem. If you’re reading this you seriously need to find an alternative to Dexcom, this company is seriously awful
