Unexpected Charges and Zero Customer Support
I initially held off paying the additional charge while trying to get an explanation. The automated customer support was unhelpful, and my email went unanswered. Trying to resolve a billing issue without being able to reach a real person was incredibly frustrating.
I’ve deleted the app. Unexpected charges and customer service that leaves you without answers have completely lost my trust. Be aware that your final charge may be significantly higher than the upfront price.

Good app but…
Also how do I turn off sounds on this app?!
Also I can see the driver slowing down and stopping but the app claims he has already stopped and waiting for 1 min. It’s clearly a lie so please code your app to not lie.

Dodgy app, never again
The driver never showed up at the pickup location, and DiDi support specifically told me that I had to cancel the ride. I followed their instructions and cancelled it, only to be charged a cancellation fee.
What makes this even worse is that I now have no way to properly contact customer support or request a refund. The app won’t let me submit a complaint because it says that I cancelled the ride. On top of that, my entire conversation with the driver has disappeared from my history, so I can’t even provide the messages as evidence.
The driver didn’t show up, I followed the instructions given by DiDi support, and somehow I’m the one who ended up paying for it.
This is completely unacceptable. The support system is useless and leaves customers with no real way to resolve issues or recover their money. Extremely frustrating and disappointing experience. I would not recommend DiDi.
Terrible

Disgusting service
A 50-minute journey with a driver who was rude, foul-mouthed and apparently completely incapable of accepting a 1-star rating. Asked to wait 10 minutes please, then proceeded to wait for 25 minutes. We were treated like an inconvenience for the entire trip, and when I told him he was getting 1 star and needed to learn some manners, he responded with profanity and personal insults.
Then came the best part: I woke up the next morning to find my DiDi account suspended for 7 days. 😂
So apparently the solution to a customer having a terrible experience is to suspend the customer. Brilliant customer service strategy.
No meaningful support, no apparent concern for what happened during the trip, and apparently no issue with the driver’s behaviour. Just punish the passenger and move on.
You’d think a company operating a transport service might take customer safety and basic professionalism seriously, but apparently that’s asking too much.
Safe to say I won’t be using DiDi again, I’ll happily pay more to use Uber and avoid this circus.
Cheers for nothing, DiDi,
and driver “Asad” 🥳
$150 cleaning fee with no evidence shown
The cleaning-fee page in my account had sections for a “Supporting Photo” and “Cleaning Receipt Photo”, yet both were blank. When I contacted DiDi, I was told that the driver had submitted evidence and that DiDi had reviewed it, but when I asked to see the evidence supporting a $150 charge, they refused to provide it due to “privacy and confidentiality policies.”
Support then told me I was not being charged the amount, yet the $150 claim remains on my account and prevents me from requesting another ride.
I’m extremely disappointed with how this has been handled. If a customer is expected to accept a $150 cleaning claim, they should at minimum be shown what alleged mess or damage the charge relates to. Until this is resolved and the restriction is removed from my account, I won’t be using DiDi again.
