DocNest turns the pile of receipts and documents you're hanging onto into something you can actually search. Scan and it reads itself. Point your camera at a receipt and DocNest pulls out the vendor, date, total and tax automatically. Text recognition runs entirely on your iPhone — your documents are never sent to an AI service to be read. File it your way. Sort documents into folders, tag them, flag them as reimbursable or tax-deductible, and add notes. Find it later. Full-text search covers every word recognized in every document, with filters for type, amount and tax status. Share a ledger. Create a shared ledger and invite someone with a code, and you can both scan into the same feed — handy for a household, a trip, or a project. It's a separate feed from your own: your private documents are never shared, and you choose which feed each scan goes into. Build expense reports. Group receipts into a named report and export it as a PDF when it's time to file. Track gift cards. Record a card's starting balance and link receipts to it to watch the balance draw down. Never miss an expiry. Switch the calendar to Expiring and it plots documents by their expiry date, so a warranty or prescription surfaces before it lapses. Your private documents sync to your account and are visible only to you. Anything you place in a shared ledger is visible to the members of that ledger. You can permanently delete your account and everything in it at any time, right from the app.
