Thanks for checking out Dugout Dude! An Apple Music subscription is required because Dugout Dude plays full songs directly through Apple Music. This requirement is stated on our App Store listing description, in the app onboarding when you first open it, and on our website at dugoutdude.app before download. We chose the partnership with Apple Music because it gives our users access to the full Apple Music catalog of real songs for their players, with high-quality audio that works reliably during games. Thank you so much! Hearing that our pronunciation is the best out of all the apps you have tried means a lot. That is something we work really hard on with our AI announcers. On the delay, we actually have a setting that can help with exactly that. Try going to Settings, then Walkup Start Helper, and switch it from the current setting to Light or Off. That should remove most or all of the delay you are experiencing. The Walkup Start Helper adds a small buffer to help with Bluetooth speaker wakeup, but if your speaker is already awake and ready you can run without it. If that solves the delay for you, we would really appreciate an updated review when you have a chance. As a small team, every star helps us reach more baseball and softball families. The pause button suggestion is a good one and we will add it to our list of things to consider. Hi Big D Manny, Thanks for sharing your experience! Perfect timing, our last update we rolled out the Announcer Voice Boost +30%, +50%. This is in the Settings > Announcer Voice Boost and tap to switch between the two, the Voice is boosted only in the Game Mode.
