The 311 app is telling me I need to upgrade the app. Go to App Store. Will not upgrade the app.

I cannot afford to buy a new phone each time but apps need - especially this 311 Edmonton app -to remain backward compatible

Reported a huge broken tree thru the app as recommended by the 311 operator I spoke to over the phone the last time I needed to report something similar, but days later nothing has been responded to. Phoned it in and they say there is no record despite giving the number assigned thru the app. Total waste? Not happy about sharing contact info with who knows whoâŠ

Great, keeps asking for a phone number, that Iâve added already, still doesnât see it. Junk app that canât be used, Great Update.

Upgrade doesnât work. Can use it. Even deleted the old one and downloaded new. No change.

Options
Nice to have a place to report issues when 311 is closed or when I donât have time to make that call. I love the ability to add pictures because sometimes the picture says everything that words canât. I love that it has GPS so that people can see the location if Iâm having difficulty finding an address. Is there room for improvement, always. But for now this does the job.

Canât submit issue
This app is not letting me submit a complaint and says âupdate failed and forbiddenâ. This is just as useless as our city staff and council. Waste of money.
Barely Works
Was told by a 311 phone operator to use this instead and to submit with a picture. The request closes out every time you add a photo. Not the first problem Iâve had with this app and I doubt itâll be the last.
It just doesnât work
I have to go onto the website to report things which is much harder to use because thereâs no option to tag your current location. The app just doesnât work.
Whiners be whining
I will say itâs worthwhile being literate when you submit a complaint. Check the details and make sure theyâre accurate before you hit send. The GPS is not pinpoint accurate and sometimes choosing the right complaint category is a little annoying. So ⊠4 stars, the interface could be easier.
Having said that, weâve submitted complaints for broken sidewalks, overgrown weeds, and abandoned vehicles and theyâve all been responded to effectively.
