1 more improvement please
Terrible UX. I put the hearing aids on, and they say “connected”. I open the app…not connected. I enable Bluetooth. Open the app again…app says it is connected, but I have to select the hearing aids (why?)…then it says “connecting”. Finally I can use the app. Who designed this? Take some notes from AirPods Pro 2 please.

The Best OTC
The beyond pro are the best. However customer support is terrible. The hearing test stops and does not proceed. Support responds with here are the step-by-step steps for taking a test. Problem is it stops at step 2. No one actually reads the request. You get instant support if you have issue purchasing.

App issues
The hearing aids themselves are fine. The app keeps not connecting and not letting me adjust settings other than volume on the aids themselves. The Bluetooth is clearly working, because it’ll play the sound from videos on my phone through the aids and my phone is clearly connected to the internet because it’ll be streaming videos, but then the app won’t work half the time

Latest version broke my favorite feature
With this version, I can no longer adjust the volume of the tinnitus programs. Now the volume is so low that it doesn’t help.
It also doesn’t fix the problem of having to show me it is connected every time I open the app even though I already know the Bluetooth is connected to my phone. I have to go through 2 screens to acknowledge the connection before I get to the settings page.

App review only
This review is on the app not the hearing aid.
I find the app. confusing. Being new to hearing aids. I don’t know lot of the words they use when it comes to the technology of hearing aids. They need to have a definitions or a glossary. Example, adjusting the tone, they talk about brighter or deeper?? The way the slide goes is confusing. again I am newbie to hearing aids. this to be confusing. You need to write instructions as if the user knows nothing. Remember many of us using these aids are in our 70s and older.

I’d give it 0stars
Can’t use the app or the product without an account but it doesn’t give you an options to make an account
Awesome hearing
These are great quality with all the right adjustments. Perfect purchase.
Good but battery issues.
I’ve had these for 9 months. They are good not great. I’m having issues with the batteries. They drain really fast (about 6 hours). Then the app shows 100%. Half the time they won’t even charge. All 3 lights are on and yet the batteries are dead. Sometimes the 3 lights will flash sequentially but they still won’t charge. The app needs a complete overhaul with better settings and iPhone compatibility. Also an easier way to switch between the aids and phone speaker. One last thing the “beep” every time I send or receive a text is very annoying.

Frustrating app
Every time I open the app, it tells me Bluetooth connection is lost. I’press “try again” and it is fine. Then it takes me to a screen where I have to choose what type of hearing aid I bought? Two screens that are unnecessary.
Small upgrades I would recommend
I am thoroughly pleased with these. Had them 24 hours and have made my life incredibly better. Heard better than my $3200 pair that I have that I spent more in repairs than these aids cost. Heard great in church and lunch afterward. Road trip today to the lake and not once did she have to tell me that my blinker was on.
Couple of suggestions:
1. Ability to change both left and right volume at one time, instead of individually.
2. First time opening the app you select which model you have and not having to repeat that step of selecting your model each time you open the app.

Background noise
After trying 4 other brands, this is the best. However still hissing sounds that greatly interferes with using it despite me setting it at the right settings. I literally get a headache using them and the volume is not loud. I agree with the other review that we need tone adjustments
Great First Hearing Aids
I’ve put off getting hearing aids because of the expense but EleHear had a great price point so I gave them a try. The best thing I did to get them like I need them was taking the hearing test wearing the hearing aids and the audiologist sent me the perfect settings in the app.
Love these and the app is great!

Good except for a few things
The app is pretty good. Do most people really need separate volume for each ear? I would design it with an option to always make Left and Right the same.
ELEHEAR Beyond
Need fix app
Settings don’t save
This app is so buggy. I can’t save settings for phone call boost which I don’t want turned on ever. Can’t turn it off. When I try to it turns back on as soon as I scroll up to save the setting. I don’t think it’s safe to have all surrounding sounds muted whenever my phone rings. This really needs to be fixed. There slap needs to be a more clear and straightforward way to save settings to a mode.

Really annoying reminders!
I have the beyond hearing aids and they are very good, especially for the price point. And the app is fine. But when the hearing aids get to 30% battery left, a voice starts announcing in your ear “battery low“ every five minutes, and I mean literally every five minutes. But there’s still a couple hours of use left in the hearing aid. It’s unnecessary to have such frequent reminders. I already contacted Support about this a couple months ago but nothing has changed. Very frustrating! If it weren’t for this, I would give it five stars.

Settings not so precise
It is almost impossible to modulate the sound manually. Noises can be eliminated but it does not necessarily improve the voices. Factory preset options could worsen or not improve the result at all.
It needs a control that allows you to manually lower or raise the treble or bass tones, in the same way as an equalizer works.
The “restaurant” mode has never worked well in any restaurant, at least for me.
For people who speak very softly it is almost impossible to capture their voice even by raising the volume.
For normal use in quiet spaces it works

App needs more work
This app needs some more work on. It randomly disconnects and it’s very hard to try and connect it when you’re in a call, video call, voice call, or any other app open. You literally have to close all other apps including ending your call etc. And try to reconnect the app and if not lucky you will need to turn the Bluetooth on/off and try connecting again. And this app doesn’t save the setting you need. I have the settings to on but every time I listen to music, get a call, voice/video call, etc. It goes to off mode and my surroundings get cut off. And when people come and talk to you, you can’t hear them at all until you go in the app and change the settings. And if the app already got disconnected it’s a major headache. The auto settings it random turn your surroundings on/off. I need my settings to be saved and stay on. I need my surroundings on for my safety and can still hear people talking to me and not be in my own little world and danger myself not be able to hear my surroundings. This happens on all modes. And the noise reduction needs some work as well. It’s still too loud in a loud environment and by loud machine. This is on my iPhone 13.

Annoying beeps
After setting up my new hearing aids I noticed two glaring problems with this app. The first is the lack of an equalizer. The tone control disappeared from the audio world in the last century. The second issue is much worse. When I’m navigating in apps on my iPhone 15 (iOS 18.3) I get loud confirmation beeps. For example if I tap the share button in facebook I get a double beep. I have to turn off Bluetooth to make it stop. This is a deal breaker for these hearing aids. My last hearing aids (Resound) had no such issue and a better app experience by far.

I’m impressed!
These are my first hearing aids and a good app was one of the main considerations in my purchase. Full disclosure, I am a professional musician and have 30+ years of audio mixing and recording so I would love to have more control over the eq settings, but for the majority of people the 3 bands of eq available are simple and effective. The noise reduction is quite impressive. Plenty of customizable presets available as well. I’m reserving my fifth star just because I’m an audio geek and always want more control, but overall I’m very impressed with the ELEHEAR hearing aids and APP.
