Peace of mind

Easy to use app that helps me stay connected with mom who has dementia. Took a while to find something like this. It’s great.

This app is so so helpful!

We’ve been using Elli Cares for about a year now. It’s really become a lifeline for us. My kids and I can both help to support my husband through the app. And know he’s doing ok!

Really useful

Has been a great support with both daily and one-off reminders

Great app that give a reminder to take my medications.

Fantastic, if I am busy and delay taking my meds if keeps reminding me…..good work…

Very helpful

Love seeing this app grow from feedback provided, great to encourage as much independence as possible

A Lifeline for those Living with Dementia and their Care-partners.

As someone living with Younger Onset Dementia since age 52 (now 59), I can’t say enough about how much I love the ellicaresapp, not just for myself, but also for my husband, who is my primary support system.

One of the daily challenges we faced was managing my medication schedule. My husband often had to remind me to take my pills, and I’d sometimes answer "yes" just to ease his worry, only to discover later that I hadn’t actually taken them. Since using ellicares, this has completely changed. The app’s beeping reminders on my phone prompt me to take my medications and interact with the app to confirm. This simple feature not only helps me stay consistent but also notifies my husband when I’ve taken them, no more asking or uncertainty.

Another standout feature is the location tracking. It gives both me and my family peace of mind. Whether I’m out for a walk or driving, my husband can easily check where I am. In today’s world, safety is a concern for everyone, but it’s especially crucial for those of us with cognitive challenges. I always encourage others in my situation to share their location with someone they trust.

Looking ahead, I’m also comforted by the safe zones feature. When my cognition declines further, alerts will let my family know if I’ve wandered beyond designated areas, allowing me to remain safely at home for as long as possible.

The developers of ellicares are continuously working to improve the app, adding features like news, tips, and insights, all easily accessible and user-friendly on my phone.

I wholeheartedly recommend ellicares to anyone living with dementia or caring for a loved one with this condition. It’s truly a lifeline, improving safety, communication, and peace of mind for both individuals and their families.

Best,

Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback Laurie! We aim to continue to make improvements and add further features and functionality as advised by our users like you!

Woah! Great update!

Have been using the app with my Mum for awhile now and tbh has been a bit buggy and not great. This update though! So effective! And we love the video reminders- we’ve found them so useful and fun!

Big Ideas, Interface needs serious work

Love the concept of this app, however the mechanics of the app are so undeveloped and it’s extremely difficult to interface with especially when communicating to family members of a certain age to set up an account. Wish there was the ability for multiple family members to track our loved ones. Will delete my account (if it will event let me) and hope that the developers make some progress for the app’s future.

Hi NattyLiv, Firstly, many apologies for taking so long to respond to your review, we've only just seen it! I understand your frustration and we've taken so much feedback on board from our customers. We released a really big update to our app about 3 days ago and our users love it! The update has addressed the things you mentioned so we hope you'll give it another try and we can change your mind :) Next month we aim to release our multiuser functionality (Care Team) so that you can include your family members in the journey to support your loved one. I look forward to hearing what you think of Elli Cares 2.0! Angela, Founder

Needs a bit of work but really helping so far

My husband has recently been diagnosed with Alzhiemer's and as I still work, this app has been really handy in giving me peace of mind that he's okay. Every now and then he gets in the car and goes for a drive. A few times he's gotten a bit confused and I've been able to help as I've gotten a notification and can see where he is on the map. There's some work they can do to the app, and I think that's what they are doing as they've been asking for feedback to improve it.
