Life evolved after I downloaded this app

This app is fantastic, I use it to sleep. I use it to lock in on homework. If Im having a bad day and need to calm down for a second to deal with life. Anything, this app is above a 5 star.

Stop the ads on a paid app!!!!!!

Despite a paid subscription, Endel forces me to click through an ad EVERY TIME I open the app. Unbelievably obnoxious.

YOU HAVE TO BUY

It will provide you 1, maybe 2, free songs out of like 6 options per category if you do not buy. The free sounds per category sound exactly the same. This is a SUBSCRIPTION app. It is not a one time buy for just noise. Not worth it for me.

Helps me focus

I’ve had Endel well over a year now. The deep work audio is what I use the most even though I’d really figured it wouldn’t make a difference.

First, I am a harsh critic because Endel had a lot of ads out on Facebook that made people believe they already had certain sound available (I can’t remember which it was, but was a certain wavelength or biphasic or something) when they actually didn’t, but were only working on bringing it to the app. I take real issue with that as it roped people into their app under false pretenses, including myself. I think Endel is a quality product and they can get users with truth and fact just fine and should do so. That being said, I do hope that they eventually are able to bring that audio to the app that they were advertising.

So why do I still give 5 stars?

I have ADHD and the first time I used “deep work” I said it for 50 minutes and before I knew it, the music was stopping. I was focused for that whole 50 minutes and chugged out a bunch of work… It was crazy. I thought it was coincidence so after a break, I did it for another 50 minutes and the same thing happened… I didn’t jump around tabs, I didn’t grab my phone, I just worked for almost an hour straight and that never happens. I forgot about it the next day and I think it was a couple of days before I used it again and I said it for an hour and a half and again I just worked and was focused the whole time. I forget that Endel is even playing. And I’m just able to stay focused on the task at hand… I don’t know why it helps me so much and maybe it doesn’t help everyone in the same way, but for me, it makes a world of difference. I just wish I remembered to use it more often lol 😂

I’ve used a few of the relax audios with my daughter and son and it’s been hit or miss. My husband doesn’t care so much for the vibe of the audio (for lack of a better word), but he’s only heard the ones I’ve played and there’s many more to choose from. I like that I can alter the speed and busyness of the audio as well because if it was just sent in Stone, I think I wouldn’t like a lot of of them. Overall, I highly recommend giving it a try even if you don’t struggle with ADHD :)

Not as advertised

I purchased a three month subscription based on the 10 minute free sample for sleep. It’s beautiful and really helped me sleep. But after submitting payment and having full access, the music for sleep is nothing like the 10 minute sample and was no benefit to me at all. I was also interested in the music that was advertised in an add. That music is also not on the app. I won’t be renewing the subscription.

Sleeping Moments

Endel had helped me focus on sleeping a lot better withe soothing sounds for naps or overnight sleeping Sessions!

Wonderful app

I really enjoy this app. The wind down and sleep part is what drew me on. And I love that I can air cast to the TV at night

Nothing like it

Still nothing like it on the App Store. Pure magic.

Lied about “free trial”

They charged my card without permission during a so-called free trial. Lies. Then they do not respond when contacted. Dishonest predatory practices.

It can’t be real!

But IT IS. Works like a charm by putting me to sleep right away. The timer makes sure it turns off. The focus is perfection at work. I gotta admit the sounds at first were kinda weird. But now it’s my go to app to keep me on track. Worth every cent.

SCAM APP

So I want to update my review. I posted earlier and Endel so condescendingly responded they subscription had not been canceled. That’s a whole bunch of garbage try googling: Endel app Reddit and you will see many like me who cancelled and were still charged.

The first time I cancelled my subscription was 31 hours before the free trial ended. How do I know? I set an alarm to remind me to do it. And then I closed the app out and then went back into it to make sure it had been cancelled and it said it was. The next day I was charged. I am still livid. This is predatory behavior that preys upon people with ADHD and executive dysfunction. I can do everything with spite that strengthens me.

So, the “second” time I cancelled, I was prompted to verify my email. That’s bizarre, I was never prompted for this before. So I did and then cancelled and wrote my initial one star review. Endel responded saying I never cancelled my subscription. No, and they’re getting reported anywhere and everywhere I can think of. Local news? Board of commissioners meetings? I know they don’t care but they will hear about it, and it will be in meeting notes. State legislators, US representatives and congresspersons will hear about this too. I want everyone to know this is a scam and I don’t want other people falling victim to it.

It was a glaring red flag to me that this was a scam after I signed up for the free trial. Why? Because the trial didn’t go through the apple App Store and I didn’t realize it until I went to cancel the first of many times.

I have Paid Subscription - Annoying Popup

I used to love this app. The continuous popups asking to go to a longer subscription every time I open the app kill the relaxation I seek.

SCAM ALERT!

This app will SCAM you! I signed up for the 7 day free trial and CANCELED it the same day. I even filled out their little exit survey. They CHARGED ME $80 for the yearly subscription ANYWAY and there is no way to cancel. I reached out to support but was directed to use the iOS App Store to cancel. The annual subscription does not show up in the iOS Subscriptions section. DO NOT TRUST ENDEL! Save yourself time and money run away now.

Top-quality audio, brilliantly designed

This app is *OUTSTANDING*. It’s clear that a LOT of development has gone into it from the high quality audio to the clear design and user-friendliness. I have naturally gravitated towards using it just about every day for work, relaxation, activity or sleep. It seems to subtly regulate my mood while giving my brain something to keep it occupied and focused.
I like that the soundscapes can easily be tuned according to user preferences. For example, gentle drumbeats are helpful and sometimes they are irritating, so you can change this. There are also nature sounds, cello and piano tracks in some of the soundscapes. There are some cool modes like “wiggly wisdom” which has sonic landscapes with spoken inspirational messages. If you are playing the app fullscreen (which I have tested, works seamlessly across Mac computer, iPhone and iPad), different modes have very cool, mesmerising black-and-white line animations. The coloured noise mode has little motes of coloured dots floating around on the screen, accompanied by a tunable coloured noise soundscape.

I love the gentle way that the sounds match my movement when I’m going out for a walk. It always feels like they are following and matching my movement rather than pushing me, which leads to a greater sense of relaxation. There is some very clever programming behind this. Even if you think you don’t like ambient music, I would recommend trying this, because the soundscapes are designed based on research that demonstrates their effectiveness – even if you’re not conscious of it. Do I *love* this app? YES I DO! 😍

Edit: Works seamlessly on the Apple Watch in standalone or phone companion mode. Great for bopping about when you want some calming or energising ambient sound! 💜🎶

Enjoying this app

So far I’m really enjoying this app. Only had it a couple of days, but it just feels good.

Where's the song?

There was an advertisement for this app that played a beautiful song that some sounds you can only hear in one ear as if someone turns one side up and the other down and vice versa. It was a amazingly relaxing. I cannot find anything like that in this app and I already paid for the app. Where is the song as advertised? And shouldn’t there be more like it?

Would Not Cancel My Free Trial

I downloaded for the free trial. Before the 7 days was up I went into the app and cancelled the free trail so as not to be billed. The app still shows me as a premium membership.

Beginning to work well as I stick with it. Sleep.

Tried the sleep function for all night for six nights. It’s beginning to work very well.

Good but the songs in the advertisement on social media can’t find

I never can find the songs they advertise for the app on social media, the ad with the guy where he’s like turn your phone this way, am i missing something are there add ons?

User interface problems

The audio and all the options that the Endel service provides are great. My issue is with the Mac app itself. Both the menu commands and their keyboard shortcuts for “Play” and “Mute” do not work at all. This means the mouse is the only way to start & stop the audio, which is a pain because I normally use a keyboard shortcut to play/pause music when I’m using Apple’s Music app.
