just bad
despite this being a sequel title, no noticeable improvements have been made in the slightest, only downgrades.
most notably, they replaced the previous gameplay with copy-and-pasted base defense which I've probably played at least 5 versions of and seen at least 10. the gameplay is such a drag that rebirthing becomes a chore that also isn't very rewarding. you somehow took the "coming back stronger" aspect of rebirthing and turned it into "coming back in about 3 business days" because that's how slow the gameplay is.
additionally, the ui is a complete mess. relic upgrade buttons don't get grayed out when you have insufficient materials. quest upgrade buttons display +[the increase in money] and not +[the increase in level], which is inconsistent with the rest of the game. speaking of quest upgrades, here those are capped at level 200 for some reason, which makes money gain a drag as well. it seems like they were less interested in making the game endless and more interested in making the amount of time you waste endless.
also the npc dialogue sprites, yes those exist for some reason, are so clearly ai generated. it's kinda crazy to decide on adding something as pointless as npc dialogue, but then you're not willing to actually draw the sprites for them.

Essentially, the first game but better
In terms of gameplay, it’s kinda similar to a first game. You have your units to kill the enemies. But now you’ve got to defend your base and the units are laid differently I prefer way more than the first game even though I played the first game many years ago on my parents old phone then my iPad . It’s a good sequel to the first game and it improves itself from the first game . It has a lot of potential to improve on, but overall 10 of 10 .
