Good bank, no technical support
I’ve been using EQ for a few years, and while the banking experience is generally good, the app has frequent glitches. Some issues, like the history of international transfers, remain unresolved for a long time. Recently, the app completely stopped working, crashing every time I tried to open it. The technical support is also a major problem; it’s either very limited or completely nonexistent. I spent three days on calls, asking for a supervisor to address a serious issue. Finally, I got through to technical support, but I’m sure it’ll be days before anything is fixed. It’s an online bank with an app that’s not working at all. That’s to say the least, unacceptable. It gives me very little confidence in this institution from a technical standpoint. I’ll probably look for a new bank. Too bad, because the Canadian market could really benefit from a modern online banking experience. Banking: 5 stars, technical support: 2 star.

Amazing bank and app
Love the layout and flawless flexibility that this app provides I also like how you load the bank card so you have 100percent control of all your accounts balance. I feel safer knowing my bank is separate from my bank card unless I want money on my card.

Ghost Reoccurring Bank Transfers
I setup a bank transfer through the EQ app. After a while it stopped working, saying that there was insufficient funds which was not true. I tried to cancel it through the app, on the website, through the chat help window. No success.

Bank itself is fine. But half the prompts dont work. Want to search your e transfer history past a month? Too bad. Doesn’t work on app or browser. Again as a bank its fine but its online banking infrastructure is terrible
Great Banking app missing 1 thing
Im surprised scheduled e-transfers are not an option here considering every other competitor I’ve used (WealthSimple and Neo for example), have this feature at the ready. Please add scheduled and repeated e-transfers ASAP, it makes the stress of paying a roommate rent, or sharing online subscriptions much easier than trying to set up

Banking app with anxiety included!
Nothing like never knowing if you’re going to be able to log in or not. Sometimes it loads decently but most time it’ll take ages to login or even make a transfer between accounts. No other app does this, you should be aware of this before signing up

Imagine not allowing Face ID in 2026. App is an absolute pain to get into. Logs you while you are actively using it! POS STAY AWAY.

Trouble depositing cheques
Generally I’m very happy with this app, but the cheque deposit feature from my iPhone takes several tries to work, and in some instances I’ve spent 20 min or more resubmitting deposits, restarting the app, etc.
