App Crashes

App literally crashes when you open up a claim

Response from developer

Developer Update: The legacy CAPTURE app referenced in this review was officially retired in June 2026. We have completely replaced it with Estimate—a newly rebuilt, fully native app designed from the ground up to guarantee maximum iOS stability and prevent crashing.

Unreliable. Full bugs, defects, clunky UI

This app misses on so many levels. Staff struggle to use as the UI is clunky. The phone camera features are not usable directly (.5, pano) and are limited to app-integrated 1/2/3 zoom settings. Oh, and they say you need good internet to make it work well. Which makes no sense for insurance teams that work in remote areas where cell service is the primary and often only option. Crashes constantly. ‘Oops’ messages which erase all of the labels for photos, never to be recovered. Their support team has only ever offered, as a solution, ‘remove the app and reinstall’.

Good Tool in the field

Very useful tool in the field. I use it on an iPhone 12ProMax. I would give five stars, but but the application doesn’t allow me to use the wide angle lens.

Developer Update: The CAPTURE app reviewed here has been retired from Apple devices. We recently launched our entirely new app, Estimate™. Estimate now fully utilizes native Apple hardware, meaning you have full access to wide-angle lenses and LiDAR room scanning for Pro devices.

Not reliable like it use to be

A few years ago this app was ahead of its class and was much far ahead than Xactimate in terms of a technology savvy interface on the go. The last year I have seen a decline in reliability with the app crashing etc. I have the a newer iPhone and OS is up to date. I am chalking it up to growing pains keeping up with Apple updates.

Does not work offline

This program is fine when it works. But it does not work when you are offline as you can’t login, and if you have poor connection it gets jammed up trying to upload/download files and will not work until that is complete.

Adjusters work in disaster areas, adjusters work in areas with poor or no internet availability. To have a program they use require internet access to work is ridiculous.

How to make it better, create an offline mode that allows you to do your work and upload it when you are able to. Also have it connect with the estimating app and make folders for each room and tag each photo in there with that room name.

Absolute garbage

I have this app installed on both android and on iOS devices. The android crashes constantly and the Apple version I got to work for one claim and now it just freezes when we try to open a claim

Must have app for Symbility users

This app is a god-send as it allows you to take photos w/ your mobile device & then name the individual photo on the spot. I am just getting into the adjuster profession and thought I would give myself an advantage by doing it all on an 12.9” iPad Pro.

Most things I can do fine with the iPad on Symbility Mobile Claims connect app, except it won’t let you (yet) upload more than one photo at a time. This is a massive deal when you’re uploading up to 200 photos for a claim.

Symbility capture however saves the day here with the aforementioned features to make the mobile adjusting experience w/ Symbility more complete.

I would give it 5 stars (and probably still should) however the app will occasionally hang/crash at times as it syncs with the cloud.

Still a time and life-saving app.
