App
Is constantly not working and I cannot book my classes or see what classes are on. QR code only appears once every 10 attempts 🤦🏼‍♀️

Old and broken

The gym in Bangor Co Down is very tired and unclean. Many of the machines are out of order or unsafe. Management still promote a refurb, “customers” as they have recently been referred to as recently are voting with their feet. Too many other better gyms locally

Excellent

Brilliant wonderful efficient couldn’t be happier

Class booking

Easy to book but there needs to be more planning so that if a PT can’t make it, there is cover. Sometimes you get the email of cancellation for early classes when you’ve already arrived

Regarding OP Southport
Cancellation and finishing group classes and laying off professional proactive instructor with only days notice then talks regarding increasing membership as a thanks 🤷‍♀️

We are a large group of loyal customers — in excess of 1000 members — of Everlast Gym in Southport. Many of us have been members for almost 25 years, and we have recently become aware of the decision to dispense with gym classes and loyal, experienced gym instructors.

We are writing to ask that you reconsider this decision and, importantly, look beyond the immediate financial or operational considerations to understand the wider impact this will have on the physical, mental and social wellbeing of your members.

Southport has a diverse population, including a significant number of older and retired residents who rely heavily on familiarity, accessibility and community connection. However, this issue is by no means limited to retirement-age members.
Group exercise and the relationships developed with instructors are hugely important to people of all ages and abilities. For some, attending a class is the motivation that gets them through the doors. For others, it provides structure, friendship, confidence, accountability and a sense of belonging, alongside the obvious physical health benefits.

The relationship between an instructor and their members should not be underestimated. Over many years, instructors get to know their members,

understand their abilities and limitations, recognise when someone may be struggling and provide encouragement, reassurance and motivation. These relationships are built on trust and cannot simply be replaced by equipment, an app or an alternative class with an unfamiliar instructor.

For many members, their instructor is an integral part of their wellbeing journey — helping them to remain active, confident and connected. Removing these familiar faces and established classes risks having consequences that extend far beyond the gym floor.

Everlast has, throughout the years, played an important role in helping local residents maintain both their physical and mental health, while also providing a valuable

sense of community. At a time when there is increasing awareness of loneliness, mental health, inactivity and the importance of preventative health, we believe this role is more important than ever.

As key stakeholders and loyal members, we are therefore asking Everlast to take a broader view of the impact this decision will have on the entire membership and the wider Southport community.
We strongly believe there is an opportunity to work together to find a solution that protects the important instructor/member relationships and preserves the group exercise provision that so many people rely upon — regardless of their age.

We would be very willing to meet with you to discuss our concerns, explore

alternative options and consider how Everlast can continue to best serve the health and wellbeing of its community.

We sincerely hope that you will take this opportunity to listen to your loyal members, recognise the true value of your instructors and reconsider the current decision.

Merthyr Everlast

Great gym , great team and a great atmosphere - I turn in at least 5 times a week - 5 ⭐️

C

I’m new to Everlast and have to say what a well equipped organised place this is. The people are so friendly and have really helped me settle in . Loving it so far

Staff great. Spa facilities disappointing

The massive refurb that closed the gym for a month resulted in state of the art gym equipment but very little attention to the spa facilities. The sauna doesn’t work. The jacuzzi was removed and not replaced. It’s like Everlast forgot about it.

Frustrating

The access code on my app does not work and the sauna was not working. I had to cancel a class at short notice and you sorted that well!

Steam

Swim and steam great 👍

MR

My name is Shaun this is the best gym going nice staff meeting you when you walk in and very clean everything in order as should be would recommend anyone to this gym thanks Shaun Lewis.

Joined for the pool

Only been twice but first impressions are good. Steam rooms great, showers are spotless

Email

Been waiting to receive an email so I can set the app up and still nothing

Good, couple of improvements..

Functional to pre order a shake/coffee in the app rather than needing to queue at reception on the way out.

Also be good if the calendar would show days you have scanned into the gym. Extra motivation!

Log in not working

When I looked at the app yesterday it told me I had to log in. When I did this it told me I’d used incorrect password. I’ve used the same one for years with no problems
. When I clicked on “forgotten password”it sent me to a site I didn’t recognise. I tried changing the password and it told me I had tried to log in too many times. I’ve tried deleting and restarting app..doesn’t work!
I have got classes booked for incoming week but am now unable to check on these or book any new ones. When I click on app support it says this app doesn’t exist any more.

Not user friendly

This app is the least user friendly app I have had the displeasure of using. There is no option to track or view your visits to the gym, if you want to book a class the icon takes you to the website outside the app, this info is also not included in the calendar in the app
there’s no options to see gym opening times or how busy a gym is, if you’re a champion member finding out how many credits remain is also not easy to locate. All the things listed are readily available in all other gym related apps i have used, this really needs and update

How the app could be improved

App could benefit from a live tracker to see how many people are in the gym

Great gym especially for the cost. Clean got wot u need !

Poor app

Apart from access bar code the app is pretty poor , so many updates required .
