Be reasonable with your rates. The idea of coming into a low income area with high rates is kinda pathetic. Shows your moral compass and where you stand on helping communities.

This app is exactly why I own a Tesla
I pull up to an EVgo charging station only to find that I can’t tap to pay. Annoying, but I persist. So I download the app only for it to take 10 minutes worth of setting up an account. Frustrating, but whatever. The icing on this inedible cake is when I finally get it setup, the app tells me charging station doesn’t work.
A very frustrating situation that was compounded by a sign up process that takes far too many steps.

Over the past 4 years EVGO probably the most reliable charging system I use.
Expensive!
First time I charged at EVgo and last! Pricing is ridiculously high compared to electrify America! I pay $7 per month membership with Electrify America and get 36 cents per KW cost up to 10 am! No additional costs! Here, I would have to pay $12.99 a month fee to get similar pricing but for limited times… thanks but no thanks! Sticking with Electrify America!

Bad experience
These charges are a bad experience chargers if you have an electric car don’t go there. They often don’t work and their payment system is so bad.

I love forced updates
I really enjoy it when an app forces you to update it. Nothing demonstrates the care and attention to the user experience better than forcing the user to switch to the App Store regardless of where they are or what they’re trying to do to make sure they have all of the amazing updates the developers have been so carefully creating for the users. Three cheers to the talented and thoughtful team diligently building this app.

EVgo has the worst app and charging stations. 80% of the time the charging stations dont work or the app just keeps spinning. Had same issues in LA and now experiencing same issues in Bay Area.

It’s a scam - don’t do it!
I’m at a charger wanting to charge. The charger says to use the EVgo app so I download it and create an account. You must signup for a subscription before you can proceed, which I did, only to find out that all it does it let you know where the chargers are and that you actually need a different app to start charging. Well I’m standing next to the charger, I don’t need an app to find it!

Barely functional
This app is trash. Despite having all of my info stored and being enrolled in its programs, none of this ever shows up when I pull up to an EVgo charger. The app and the charger communicate successfully maybe a quarter of the time. Makes me want to get rid of my EV.
