EVgo has the worst app and charging stations. 80% of the time the charging stations dont work or the app just keeps spinning. Had same issues in LA and now experiencing same issues in Bay Area.

It’s a scam - don’t do it!
I’m at a charger wanting to charge. The charger says to use the EVgo app so I download it and create an account. You must signup for a subscription before you can proceed, which I did, only to find out that all it does it let you know where the chargers are and that you actually need a different app to start charging. Well I’m standing next to the charger, I don’t need an app to find it!

Barely functional
This app is trash. Despite having all of my info stored and being enrolled in its programs, none of this ever shows up when I pull up to an EVgo charger. The app and the charger communicate successfully maybe a quarter of the time. Makes me want to get rid of my EV.

I have been driving from California to Washington DC and I find the EVgo at Pilot very nice and a great place to charge

Awful. Unreliable app and useless customer service.
Sometimes the app works and sometimes it doesn’t—you never know what you will get. When you try to reach customer service (if you can reach a human) you are told to tell your problem to an employee at the charge station. 3 years of charging EVs and I have yet to see an “employee” at a charge station. Autel = Worst in Class.

Random charges years after hertz rental
I have gotten charged on my debit card $12 random days from when I had created a account for my hertz Kia ev6 to save money charging it I only had it 1 month and it doesn’t let you remove card on file and randomly charged your bank for no reason they thief’s they keep your card on file and just help them self to your money I have no active subscription and I have no way to get a service rep on contact

Scam
If you’re unhappy with your membership, don’t cancel it right away. Cancel it the day before your month is up because if you cancel it, your membership immediately shuts off and does not allow you to use the perks for the remainder of the month that you paid for.
Cheap
Some of the worst customer service and products available definitely needs to be looked at and probably banned from being sold in the US.

If you're going to list a ton of promotions under "active" for a customer and not list an expiration date, you should honor said promotions. Intentionally misleading which is basically fraud

Complex charging system; the connection isn't working.Take a look at work in the other charger. I wouldn't advise anyone to use it for a Tesla.
