Please fix this buggy app. It is absolutely horrible.. I cannot even get logged into my account
Severe billing lag and broken auto-replenish system – Beware if driving in DFW!
If you live or drive frequently in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, do yourself a favor and think twice before using this app to manage your toll account. While the interface looks clean, the backend synchronization is completely broken when dealing with out-of-agency tolls (NTTA).
Toll charges from NTTA take days to post to the EZ TAG system. Instead of processing them smoothly, the app holds them and then dumps them onto your account all at once. This massive delay completely breaks their automated rebill system. Just recently, my account fell into the negative because of this lag, and the app went into an aggressive multi-charging loop. It drafted an automatic $25.94 and then, just four hours later, slapped my bank card with another massive $96.00 automatic charge on the exact same day.
To make matters worse, despite the system successfully taking over $120 from my bank account, the app failed to update my active balance in real-time. It completely froze, kept showing a frozen account status, and forced me to make an additional manual payment of $80.60 on the website just to avoid getting hit with toll violations.
The app's automated billing system is deeply flawed and does not communicate properly with your actual account balance, leading to massive overcharges and forced duplicate payments in less than 72 hours. Customer service is absolutely useless when this happens, as they just tell you "the system did it automatically."
If you only drive in Houston, it might work fine. But if you rely on interoperability across Texas, the technical lag in this app will hold your money hostage. Fix your automated billing synchronization!

The EZ TAG app is fast, easy to use, and makes managing toll payments simple. Checking balance and adding funds takes seconds. Super convenient and reliable.
Lies about pricing
I’ve been checking my activity for about a week now and all my trips have been $1.50. I’ve been getting charged 1.50 ONCE everytime i used the tolls. Now i pay it and all my “hidden” tolls are up to see. Three or four tolls paid for everyday instead of one. Why not show me this information when i was low on funds playing my trips.
