User reviews

Can’t add elder, goes in circles

Trying to add elder, asks for phone number, then goes in circles between phone number and asking for nickname… never send request, too many bugs. Disappointed

Response from developer

We apologize for any frustration. Please contact us at 203-736-7647 or email us at fallcallhelp@fallcall.com and we would be happy to assist you. We have not heard about this issue from our other users thus we would like to explore it with you. Thanks!

Works like a beta

The app is buggy. If you try to populate a phone number from contacts it doesn’t work on iPhone but does work on android. I can’t get Siri to communicate with the app. Beyond that, the biggest flaw is that it is very difficult for the caregiver to notice when they are summoned with the app. It should send a text to the caregivers, but it does not. Maybe if I try the paid version, these issues would be solved?

Response from developer

Hello-We thank you for the feedback. We are happy to say that everything that you have have mentioned has been fixed in version updates over the past year. We thank you for your valuable feedback! Sincerely, the FallCall Team

Promising, but…

Was intrigued by positive reviews, but when we tried to set up the caregivers circle, encountered a number of bugs. First, the tests did not consistently reach all five members of the circle, which does not build confidence in an actual emergency. Second, there was no way to modify how alerts are prioritized, for example, ensuring they are seen when a caregiver is on a call and doesn’t have the app open. Hopefully, future versions can address these issues, as without these fixes it is not an ideal solution.

Response from developer

We apologize for any frustrations you have encountered. From our side, we can see that all notifications are being sent out to Care Groups for every Help Call. Cellular/WiFi/Bluetooth signals in addition to the operating system will dictate when and how they are received. As far as Notifications being received during Phone Calls, this is again directed by the operating system. We appreciate the feedback and will continue to brainstorm ways to deliver reliable notifications within the frameworks that we are given as iOS developers.

Wanted it to work

Really really wanted this app to work but I can't seem to get it to work properly with my Apple Watch. It also notifies my caregiver if I cancel a call - do not like that feature.
It's gone until they do some upgrades.

Response from developer

We apologize that you had a frustrating experience. Regarding the cancel call feature, that was a requested feature from a variety of Caregivers as evidence that their connected Elder is using the app. Although we try to design for the masses, perhaps the feature can be turned off with a toggle switch in settings. We thank you for the feedback.

Great Support

Terrific support whenever anything arises. Among the very best I’ve ever experienced!
